Has anyone bought the new Pal Mickey? How much does it cost? It is worthwhile? Is it a pain to carry around the parks? Thanks!

I haven't bought the new Pal Mickey, but from what I've heard the price is between $60 and $65. I got my Pal Mickey the first year it was out. He has gone with us through 2 10 day trips, and was with us every step of the way. I carried him by cliping him to the strap of my backpack. That way he was close enough I could hear him when he had something to say, no matter how loud the noise was around me. Also, I didn't knock him off as much as I did when I clipped him to my fanny pack.

I love My Pal Mickey and never found it a drag to bring him through all the parks. Most of the pictures of me the last 2 trips include Mickey. A lot of dumb ones like Mickey sitting next to my plate eating at the various restaurants. I know, pretty lame, but it makes my DH and I laugh! :Pinkbounc

I, too, plan on getting the new Pal Mickey when we go in December. I understand he comes with a lanyard so I think it would be pretty easy to cart him around.

BTW, if you go on the Disney website and type in Pal Mickey in the search box it will take you to the Pal Mickey page. Play the Pal Mickey game and get a certificate. Redeem the certificate to get a free pin when you purchase the new Pal Mickey. I played the game this morning and printed my certificate. WhooHoo!!! Free pin!!

We bought the new Pal Mickey in April.

He was a bit pricey. DH & I are arguing about how much it actually was. I seem to remember him being $70, DH says he was $80.

But ANYWAY...

We bought him for our 2 year old DS. DS loved him & is still playing with him. He does come with a lanyard to carry him around. We attached him to DS's stroller & draped him in the stroller so DS could play with him.

He is hard to hear, tells really corny jokes & tells you basically what any tour book would tell you. I would never have bought him for us. But for DS he was great.

My boyfriend bought me the new Pal Mickey last week during our trip last week. He was about $67. I absolutely love him. Althought it is difficult to keep him attached to you with the plastic clip he comes with, I just attached his metal clip to my fanny pack. He tells all sorts of things such as neat "secrets" about each park, which rides have short waits, when parades start, etc. He also can keep you entertained on bus or car rides or while waiting in line with his corny, but cute jokes, games, and sing-alongs. I absolutely love him. I think he is a great souvenier to be able to take home. He still works at home, but he doesn't tell park secrets and tips. He still tells the jokes, plays games, and does sing-alongs though.

I am so glad my boyfriend bought him for me. By the way, I am a 22 year old college grad, so the Pal Mickey knows no age limits! ::MickeyMo

As you can tell from my pictures, I love my Pal Mickey.

This first picture is from right after my boyfriend bought him for me:

This second picture is Pal Mickey enjoying his last day lounging at the Hippy Dippy pool before the flight back to Pensacola:

Like I said in my prior post, he is great and well worth the money! :goodvibes
