Has anyone heard of an interactive PAL Mickey doll? Supposedly it is supposed to be used in the parks and can tell you exactly where you are and when diff events happen (parades, character sitings etc). If so do you think that it is worth buying? Ive seen it for $70....thanks

I just loved these things and was going to go right out and buy one. ....... that is until I thought about it. yes, they are real cute but they only work in the parks ( I am asuming they dont say another word once they are back home with you ) and they arent very loud either! you see people walking around with mickeys bellybutton to thier ears. not to mention, do you really need something else to carry around all day??

however, I must admit that We dont have any kids. And if we did we would probably break down and carry the darn thing to hell and back if it made our little one happy:rolleyes: .

We got a Pal Mickey last May and it was a lot of fun. He told cute jokes, would tell you when parades or shows were about to start, made funny comments especially on Tower of Terror, you can play games and he kept our daughter who was 2 at the time occupied. If you didn't hear him you can squeeze his stomach and he will repeat what he said. He would come on as we passed certain buildings on Main Street and give little bits of info on them. He would aslo tell us that we should go to Pirates because there was no line. He came with a clip and he didn't get in the way at all. He fit in the bag we brought to the park so it didn't bother us to carry him around. I think I've read posts where people suggest putting a lanard strap around him to carry him as well. He was $50 when we got him, now I think he is $60.

My 3 year old plays with him at home. She likes listening to him tell jokes. She actually takes him to bed every night instead of a doll. It was worth it for us.

I saw where someone said Pal Mickeys were going for around $45 on ebay. I intend to purchase one for our trip in June and then sell him via auction. That way, I should get him for only $15 or $20 for the whole week.

I know when they first came out you could rent them for 8 dollars a day...

Hi Dan Murphy! Thanks for the links! I enjoyed the last one, it was very informative! It made me want to go to WDW already and use the pal! Thanks again!!! :wave2:

Thanks for the links Dan, I had missed that last one (somehow). I wish Minnie was out, but I'll take Mickey for now. I wonder if it would be feasable to make them interact with each other... My kids have these talking elctronic pets and if you get two or three together they will interact and have lots of extra programing... so of course we have three of them...

We were at disnoey world in march, and my son got a pal mickey and he absolutely loved it. I wasn't in to spending 60.00 on it but after we got it, it was pretty neat. It really wasn't a problem to carry and it was neat to hear it tell you about places that you were walking by. You can rent them for 8.00 per day. My son took his to school for show and tell when we got home because it tell tons of jokes. Everyone loved it. It also has games that you can play.

Thanks for all the info. We're planning to surprise our 2 DDs with a Pal Mickey each waiting for them when we check in at the AKL in May. I think I might have to get one for myself just in case they don't want to share. ;)
