Pal Mickey?

I think this is going to be cool! I know my guys will want one (one each probably!)

Thanks so much Norestneeded!! Do you think if I can get one on our trip in June that it will still respond to the parks when we go back in October? Has anyone heard of its park life expectancy?? This is going to be amazing. My kids love plush anyway, so even if the plush only does the games at home , he will be a great keepsake.

This is pure speculation, but I don't think there's any reason that there would be "park life expectancy"... I think it should always work at the parks, as long as you replace the batteries!

I don't want to rain on anyones parade, but didn't the article say plush! I can't imagine renting something plush! How do they keep them clean, and germ free! By the way I'm a nurse if you couldn't tell--worry about germs!! Buying one would be great!

I would not rent one! I've been thinking about that since I first found out about it. I will buy them, but wouldn't rent one to save my life! LOL

I think Disney was very clever in pricing the Pal Mickey....It costs about $8 to rent, with a $50 deposit -- If it's not returned, they just keep the deposit, so then you own it !

I agree with Angel M, though -- If I wanted to buy it, I'd rather get a new one, not used...........

I'm just guessing, but I have a feeling that those are probably made so that they can take the electronics out easily and just throw away the plush part and put the electronics in a new plush each time someone rents one. As little as it probably costs to make one of those, I imagine they wouldn't go to the trouble of trying to sanitize them or something, just throw away the plush part each time. When they can sell a non-electronic Mickey plush for 12 dollars or whatever it was the last time I was there, you know it probably only costs a few dollars to make the plush part, so they'd still be making money on renting and throwing the plush part away. Of course they're also counting on many people ending up taking them home too, and not returning them.
