Is the Pal Mickey really worth the $60.00??

I've been wondering this too, we were thinking about getting one for our kids to share as $15 per kid doesn't seem too bad, i doubt i'd buy more than one as they'll probably get bored/tired of carrying him anyway where as between them they can pass him around.

We purchased a Pal Mickey this past December, and my 3 kids(6,8, and 11yrs) loved him. They loved his comments, park information, and jokes. We just bought one Pal Mickey and shared him. We carried him around the whole Magical world, and he is in almost every picture. He is expensive so you have to be very careful not to leave him behind somewhere. We hooked him to a lanyard and wore him around our necks. My kids would highly recommend him.

We have a PAL Mickey and enjoyed him, but he does get heavy and cumbersome to carry around the park. He will play trivia games and tell jokes once you are home. If I remember correctly, you have a little brother or sister who would probably like to play with him too. PAL Mikey comes with a lanyard to help you hold onto him.

Will he still work if you carry him in a bag/backpack. Not where he is buried but just not so you have to carry him around? My DD has a really light back pack and was thinking of getting her one. Since just her and I are going I don't want to worry about losing mickey when I will be worried about DD. Does he talk very loud, is there a volume control?

We bought one last year for DD it is cute and we will bring him back this year. He tells you things about the attractions.

You could clip him to the outside of a backpack but will not want to carry him in one as he vibrates to get your attention and you will miss it

We have 2 of them and had fun w/ them on our last trip.... my girls play w/ them all the time at home, too. They can't wait to buy him a new outfit when we get to WDW this year! I personally wouldn't spend $60 on one (I got ours for less than $20 when Character Warehouse was having a super sale - so happy to get that deal!), but then I don't pay full price for hardly anything.... try ebay!

If I recall correctly, PAL Mickey only works when he is facing forward so he can get the information on where he is in the park and give appropriate comments. He will not work if he is inside a backpack (and even if he did, you'd never hear him).

Uh, ours worked and he was clipped on the back of my DH's backpack. So I'm not sure? But I know he worked- it's the only way we carried him. I'd hear him vibrate and we'd turn him on (LOL).

I like MPM- but it's sentimental over anything else. He's not my kids- he's OURS and he's in my curio cabinet now.

You know...I can't really say for sure if he only works when faced forward. I did not carry him very often. My children carried him, and they just slung him around everywhere. He seemed to work fine.

I know he will not work like he should if he is hidden in your backpack so if you decide on one make sure you carry him or wear him. He is more fun that way!

We bought 2 pal mickeys (so the kids wouldn't fight) and used them 2 yrs ago. The kids thought they were cool....FOR THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES! Then mom got to carry her "Pal Mickeys" through the park for the rest of the day. In my opinion they are cute but not a must have. Wouldn't spend the money on them again. Most times the park was too loud to even hear what he was saying.

We did cary it on a lanyard atached to by backpack worked great.
just think of this if you look on e bay there are older ones out ther. Like mine so sh cant tell you about any of the new things out there. look for the most reasont one out there.
