Are they still selling Pal Mickeys? I still have mine from 2005, can I still use it in the parks??? Are the new ones any better????

I loved hearing all of the stuff that Pal Mickey had to say, but I sure do with that he talked a little louder! I could't ever hear him if we were in the middle of a crowd.

Disney just started selling "version 3" PM (he's dressed as the Sorcerer's Apprentice).

You can still use and enjoy any version of Pal Mickey in the parks.

I have "Version 1" (I call him Pal Mickey "Classic".)
I carry him hooked to my shirt collar in the front.
Then, when he wiggles and giggles, I just press his hand and swing him up near my ear and can hear him just fine, even in a crowd.

The Version 2 (Tuxedo) and Version 3 (newest) do talk louder than Version 1, and they say a few more things than Version 1 (and he can "sing" a bit, too).

But its not enough for me to buy a new version... YET.
But I'll keep an eye out for Version 2 to go on closeout sale... then maybe my PM "Classic" will get a new Pal for himself.

Well good....I'm glad the newer ones are louder. I have the classic too. I think he may need a sorcerer friend now!

Just the thing to use up that extra $70 (plus tax) you didn't know what to do with.

Yikes! They're up to 70 bucks now!! I think I paid $55 for it a Feb 2005. Well...gotta have one though! If I didn't spend it on that, I'd end up buying something else silly anyway! :goodvibes

The gen 2 PMs ARE on closeout sale at some of the outlets near WDW. There is a thread in the budget boards about them. I bought one for around $41 with shipping.

We have version 1 and 2.

I got the first one June 2004 and my son brought version 2 Nov 2005, On our trip in 2007 we want to get my daughter one too.

All 3 PM's are about the same size so any clothes will fit any of them.

They sell 4 outfits at WDW (various places). Each is $10 or so.

Go to palmickey.net (or even eBay) and you can see the outfits (if you search a bit).

Pal Mickey is the only character to date.

Do they sell these in the resort shops?? I want to get my DD the day before we go to the park so that we arent wasting precious park time to figure out how to use it. Not to mention not wanting to lug around the extra bag with the box, etc...in it all day.
