Has anyone tried Pal Mickey? :earsboy: Did you like him? I'm considering getting one for our trip in May with DS. Tell me why I should or should not get one, please!!

He has now had him for well over a year. He has made a few trips back with us, as well. He talks to him and tells jokes with him. He is very cute!

I'm definitely planning to get one during our trip this month! I can't wait! (And it's more for me than for my 19 month old!) I just did a search here and found lots of threads about Pal Mickey, including sites where you could get it for a discounted price. But I'm waiting until we get to WDW, especially since I want to make sure I get the new one with the tuxedo and updated info.

I just won one on ebay this week. Will be taking it with us in a few weeks.

I was just going to ask if you could get them off ebay! :)
I know Pal Mickey would simply be magic to my boy when we go to wdw! Let me know how you liked your ebay-purchased pal, if it worked well etc!

Ebay "saved searches" here I come! :magnify:

My 3 1/2 year old is still telling the jokes. I bought the $13.99 that someone told me about on here and it worked fine. We did get much more use out of him at MGM than MK though.

We bought ours at the park and loved him! He is still fun at home too! The best place IMO t buy him at the ark is at the World of Disney Store in DTD. If you have the Disney Visa, you get him for 15% off!! (I think that is the right percentage)

We purchased a Pal Mickey at WDW the week of Thanksgiving. He "worked" ok, but I wasn't impressed. THEN I found out you must turn him on, AFTER we returned home. Apparently, they have a store-mode that does a few things to show you some of the features. You must get inside the velcro back and turn him on to get the full effect!!! Don't forget!

We just got back yesterday and DS8 and DD5 absolutely loved Pal Mickey! I got him from the Character Warehouse - the number is probably in one of the threads posted above. He worked great and not only gave us some helpful info, but the kids loved his jokes and the games were fun for them while we were in line. DS would have liked to get the one in the park - he liked the tux, gold bow tie and the lanyard that he came with - but I had already bought him. He was fine with it though and we got all the same info from him - they update while you're in the parks. Enjoy!! :flower:

we bought one at the shop at POFQ. We were in the food court eating breakfast and DH and I ran over to the store while my mom ate with the kids and bought him. My DD3 always does this super high pitched scream when sh'e really excited so needless to say when we showed them Mickey.....well let's just say we had the attention of everyone in food court. The girls really had fun with him, and we still play with him sometimes, but I'm gonna put him in our luggage so we don't forget him next year.

We got Pal Mickey when we were there last week and it was one of best things we did. DD5 kept it around neck/should and would tell us random trivia things Mickey said while we were in the parks. Was absolutely hysterical in World Showcase at Epcot - she was telling trivial info about the countries to her history buff dad (versus the other way around).

We got him at the hotel before we went into park. And yes, we were also victim of thinking he was already working until we realized you had to unzip the back to turn it on :-(

Hmmm...he sounds like a lot of fun! I'll have to see if I can get one cheap from one of the places mentioned above. I'd hate to spend $65 if I can get one for less! Thanks for all of the great info!

We borrowed one from a friend. My 6 year old DS loved him the first day in Epcot, wouldn't let anyone else hold him, was completely amused with him. By the next day, the novelty had worn off and nobody wanted him. He sat turned off in our stroller all day and spent the rest of the week in the trunk. Sorry, Mickey. ::MickeyMo

You'll just have to make a return trip soon now that Pal Mickey is 'on', right? (Don't know if my spouse would fall for it, but it could be worth a try!)
