I got a used Pal Mickey whose owner said it "wasn't talking anymore". I thought maybe a new set of batteries was all it needed, and presto, it did come to life after I put them in.
But. I'm not sure if my Mickey is doing things right, LOL! He will ask a question, like, "Who just can't wait to be King"? but then doesn't give the choices to squeeze his hand/paw. Or he'll ask if you want him to sing a song by pressing his tummy, but then when you press it, he still won't sing more than the first two lines of the song.
It seems like the squeeze sensor in his hands and tummy aren't signaling the processer, imo. He does vibrate and giggle and tell jokes, so it's already an improvement over the stony silent treatment I was getting, but....
Has anyone had something similar happen? Will getting him "reset" at WDW fix the problem? The batteries are brand new, so it can't be that.
p/s - he does "chirp" the tiniest chirp when the tube containing the wires from his CPU down to the "body" is jostled, even in the "OFF" position. I have no idea what that's about, but just wanted to throw that out there too....
Thanks for any advice anyone has to offer!! I got him for $20, so he's already worth the $$ to my kids, but I'd like to get him in working order!
