I am sorry if this has been done before!!! But I was curious what your thoughts were....What do you get? How much is he? Is he worth it? Who was dissappointed and Why? Now that you are home...still worth it? I was looking to add something magical to our trip. We have a 6yr old DD, 3yr old DS, and 18mos DD(when we are there) just wanting to do something different...would a tour be better?? or Pal Mickey is a neater thing?? THANKS!! Kelly

i got the old version of pal mickey last month from the outlet for $13.99 (see old post on budget board)

we just used him last week in the parks. we had a wide range of kids with us...ages 16, 14, 10, 3 and 1.

the three oldest (and the adults) LOVED it. he was really cute, told some interesting things especially in epcot, and corny jokes that you just had to laugh at.

my 3 yr old wasn't interested as he didn't understand any of it really. the 1yr just wanted to eat him :rotfl: .

i thought he was a fun addition to our trip, and for the cheap price well worth it.

we got 2 of the $13.99 ones from the outlet for our 6.5 year old and our almost 3 year old...

we carried them one day...then Dh ended up with a kidney stone and I was solo with the 2 boys and they weren't worth my precious "weight" to carry.

My observations, the 6.5 year LOVED him, and those jokes got REALLY old after 6 hours of constantly being told them. But DS loved those jokes.

Dh did not enjoy the "vibrate and noise" when he had something new to tell (especially when we were going around the World Showcase quickly for some reason). Then, he KEPT vibrating and noise while we were in the American Adventure and some show was about to start outside, if you didn't acknowledge him then he kept going. We learned to turn him off.

The almost 3 year old wanted us to carry Pal Mickey most of the time, but if he saw his brother with his, "Where *MY* Pal Mickey?" So, it was definitely one of those you can't have just one type of things for us.

We really liked the interesting facts he told us, but like I said, when I was concerned about how much was too much to carry while I was solo in the parks with the boys, Pal Mickey went before the camera and video camera! :) But he went in the "leave at hotel pile" after the pin lanyard (which DS refuses to trade with anyone).

At home now? They've not touched them. Of course, they are too busy playing with the RC car, the computer games they missed, and the Pirates playset.

LOVED HIM! We got one for each of my kids ds6, dd9. We also got ours for 13.99. The first day our DD decided not to bring him. After seeing how much fun my DS was having, she grabbed him that night and carried him everyday. He made the trip so much fun! The kids loved him and so did DH and I. The little facts he told us were so interesting. We never would have known some of those neat things. Was it worth under $50 for two? YES! Would I have been as happy with $60 each? I'm not so sure.... maybe one and we could have shared.

My DD age 2 adores him and we havent even taken him to the park yet. One of the sensors in his hands and his stomach don't work very well but he still talks and my DD is very happy. She wont even let me play with him. LOL

I bought one for myself in June when we got to Disney. I spent alot of money on him, no outlets near me. I loved him. I took him everywhere. No crying, no complaining, he's not even a picky eater, and he didn't ask me to buy him a single thing. I had a great time listen to his corny jokes. My kids, 10 dd and 7 dd, were jealous of him and even tried to hide him from me. If your disney crazy like me the two of you will get along swell. :earsboy: ::MickeyMo

 :rotfl2: I like your thinking! Too funny. Thanks for the info everyone!! Where do you get them for 13.99? And are they still there? Does it still work even if you have the old one? Thanks!! Kelly

We got ours from Character Premier in Miami and they still had some as of 2 days ago.
