This may be a very weird question but my DH is wondering can pal mickey go on the airplane?

I took my on the way down to Disney and on the way back in my carry on. No problems! Besides, he may get lonely in your checked luggage! LOL.

LOL. He is so silly. Its just me and DD this trip and he is worried about all sorts of things that could happen when of course if he was with us it would be fine. My good DH. Thanks for the info.

HE'LL BE FINE. (AND SO WILL YOU) THERE SHOULDNT BE ANY PROBLEM!::MickeyMo

THANK GOD YOU ASK ABOUT HIM, I TOTALLY FORGET THAT WE BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE LAST OCTOBER. NOW THE PROBLEM IS FINDING HIM!!! I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE I STORED HIM, DIDN'T WANT THE DOG THINKING IT WAS A TOY FOR HER!!!

ONE OTHER THING, WHAT AND WHERE DO YOU BRING HIM TO GET "UPDATED" EVERY YEAR??

Good thing you put yours away, one of our dogs chewed his nose a bit and I loaned him to friends with a 3 year old and his hands are pristine white and his clip is missing.
I think they just came out last year, I hadnt heard anything about updates.....this sounds exciting!

Hi. I was really worried flying with my Pal Mickey for the first time. We had friends ship ours home so our first flight with them was out of our local airport. But we had no problems. I would just have him turned off (unzip him in the back) for the flight. There were 3 of us who were traveling and all had one. I know my felow travelers had theirs in their backpacks for the flight I had Mickey on my lap since my backpack was rather stuffed.

Since my Mickey was sent to me back in the summer of 2003 and I didn't go till Jan 2004 with him I can safely say he updates on his own. Just have his nose facing forward when you walk thru the turnstyles and it may take a little bit. With 3 of them in our group they all "updated" a minute or two (or 3,4, *lol*) apart as we entered the parks each time. It was the coolest thing listening to them go off in stereo :-) Have a blast with the little guy, we sure did and can't wait to take him back.

We have returned to WDW with our Pal and he is fine. We did put him in our checked luggage without batteries. I always bring along a few extra batteries as ours seems to go through them faster as he gets "older".

No need to do anything to update him, just fresh batteries and hit the parks. Make sure his nose is up and have fun.

I've taken Pal Mickey onto the plane before ... I just make sure he's off in case there's a problem with his electronics (I doubt there would be, but just in case). :p

So can you order a Pal Mickey from WDW Merchandising? Might be nice for the place ride down for the kids.

If your child is carrying him with them through security, be sure the child knows ahead of time that Mickey will have to go through the scanner (or put him in a bag until you get to the gate). I was behind a little girl about 4 years old who was screaming at the top of her lungs because her big barney doll had to go through the scanner.

Hi Zulaya

I can't remember if someone has mentioned if merchandising is finally sending them but the three in my group were either shipped home by a friend visitng WDW or the 1 was a b-day gift I ordered for the one lady in our group from Gifts of a Lifetime. We had ours last in hand last summer and at that time merchandising was not taking orders for Pal Mickey. But it's now almost a year later so I would check and see if they are now doing orders but if you can't get him before hand no worries they are everywhere.

Oh and the battery issue.... I was worried about that but he didn't do all that bad on batteries in fact I changed his before the trip and didn't have to do so on the trip and it's now 2 1/2 months later and he's still on the batteries he had for the trip. Though I would still have a spare set on hand.

What kind of batteries does Pal Mickey use? I plan on buying one this trip and would like to take extra batteries just in case we need them.
