Ok...my kids have just started to develop a love for the kids clubs. Wondering...on the night we do Palo, can we bring them to the club in their pjs since we are dining late. Or is this in poor taste? TIA

Emily

I think you're probably going to get lots of different opinions on this one, but I see nothing wrong with it. You're on vacation.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it but I know my kids would not have wanted to do it. I think it depends on the kids.

We didn't go to Palo and dressed ours in PJ's most nights. Especially for Pluto's Panama party. One was in the nursery so when she napped she was already in PJ's and the 4 year old we found asleep once on the cushions in one of the side rooms in front of a big screen showing cartoons. The advantage for us was we could take them back to the room and put them right to bed.

I see no problem. If they are little enough that those extra minutes getting swapped out could make a big difference then do it. Most PJs look like clothes anyways. As long as they aren't wearing the like night dresses it should be fine.

Why put in PJs? Are they going to go to sleep in Kids Club?

I think people do this to save time/effort when they pick the kids up and put them to bed. Many parents do this to/with their children after later afternoon swim classes at my YMCA.

Not only would my son absolutely refuse (even when 2 years old he knew that PJs are bedclothes, not *clothes*), but we have to brush teeth, pee, etc etc, before bed, so he's getting woken up anyway. And we aren't against him sleeping in normal clothes at all if those other things are just so difficult for his sleepy self that changing clothes would send someone over the edge.

Got it. Clearly I don't have kids myself so I have no idea! :)

Isn't the kids club open until midnight? I think I read somewhere that they put out mats, show a cartoon at night and little ones can fall asleep in the club until their parents return. I would expect plenty of kids going in their PJs at night if that's the case. So I say if your kids want to go in their PJs and it makes your life easier, go for it.

Many parents put the kids in PJ's for the 8:30 show. And most of the kids are carried out sound asleep = too cute.

Personally I wouldn't do this as if there was an incident and they had to go to the lifeboats they would be cold in pjs

But then again if it happened in the middle of the night they would still be in PJs so maybe I'm being silly but that's what makes me nervous would be them getting cold if something happened

I know there'd be an endless list to argue against my point but I'm just going to say that I don't think there are a lot of 'rules' or 'in bad taste' when it comes to being somewhere on holidays as long as it doesn't inconvenience or offend other people. (Having said that, of course there are plenty of them, but we're talking about putting kids in PJs). I can't imagine anyone having a problem seeing children in their pjs.
