Good morning all. :sunny: I have gotten the bright idea to redo my DD bedroom. I have it all worked out except.....
The room has a 10in border all the way around it. My question is how do I get the border off without tearing up the wall? I am not the queen of home improvement in anyway. I am lucky to get basic painting done, so some help from the experts on DIS would be great. :cheer2:
Thank you all so much in advance. And I know my daughter will thank you also :rotfl:

Go to Home Depot and ask for stuff called Dif. It will become a staple in your house from that moment on. :) It usually comes with a tool that use in combination with the Dif solution that you spray on. Just spray the stuff on, let it set a bit, and then remove it with the tool. Unless its paper or border that is layers thick, it usually slides right off.

Thanks so much. The easier the better for those of us who are designer challenged!! This is my project for the week. :goodvibes

I love DIF...it saved my life when I did my living room last fall. Be sure to get a scoring tool also. It really helps. You score the border first, then apply the DIF, let it set for a bit, then scrape it off. Works like a charm.

Borders are often just put on top of the paint so are pretty easy to get off, I used hot water / fabric softener to get my last wall paper off. Just use a little bit and see if it will peel off.
