Painted Sky spa at Aulani

Does anyone know if the teen spa at Painted Sky would allow a tween girl to get a pedicure or some other kind of basic spa treatment? I know the website indicates that Painted Sky is for 13-17 year olds, but I thought I read somewhere that they were a bit loose about age restrictions. My DD is very mature and confident and would have no issues with being there on her own.

My 12 year old daughter just had her first facial at Painted Sky a few days ago! I had just assumed they would accept 12 year olds and they didn't even question it when I made the reservation. She said it was great!
