Paint the Night Parade coming to WDW?

If the Magic Kingdom gets a new parade I hope it's different than Paint the Night. I really like each park having SOME things that are different.

Yea Spectro was great.
I'm 37 and I can remember MSEP when I was 11. Common on time for something new Disney. Just change the music hahaha.

Spectro isn't coming back...the floats were destroyed. Thank GOD. The music was awful and those clown faced things...the stuff of nightmares. MSEP is classic and the music iconic and I love it to pieces. Just my opinion of course.

NOW, if they wanted to mothball MSEP for Paint the Night? I'm all for it.

Still have the same opinion I had a year ago I HATE main street electrical, sorry guys. It's boring, it's had minimal updates scene 1977 it looks like if you tap it the whole thing will fall apart. Bring on Paint the Night

Paint the night isn't coming to WDW from what I've heard. It's going seasonal at DL. When is stops in September it will go into refurb and come back for the holiday season. Then it will stop again for a bit and come back for summer crowds.

Business wise it seems kind of off to have something only for when the crowds will already be there ... wouldn't it make more sense to offer it during "slow" periods as an enticement for people to come then?

I mean, didn't Disney give a reason for the tiered pricing at WDW to help spread crowds out?

For a long time Disneyland didn't have nightly parades and fireworks. Even WDW didn't do it all the time. They are really just going back to that. I think people will still come parade or not. During the busy times when the parade is running it gives people another thing to do to spread out crowds.

That is true - at least give them multiple things to line up hours for to see rather than everyone at Fantasmic! or World of Color

Spectromagic had the best music. The only parade that was in 3. It was more like a waltz down Main Street. The trumpet fanfare at the beginning is the best! Too bad that the trumpet fanfare can only be found on the rehearsal cd.
Would love to have a reincarnation of Spectromagic come back, but I doubt that will happen.

I'm going with my boyfriend in November, and it will be his first trip to Disney. So I'm glad he'll get to experience it. Although I do agree it could use and update.

Rumor now is that MSEP will close at WDW on 10th September. To be replaced with Paint the Night as soon as they can get it over from DL. Then WDW parade replaced with a new one for the 50th anniversary in 2021.

The timing of this change would jive with the 45th Anniversary of MK coming up on Oct.1. As far as I know, nothing has been announced for the Anniversary other than some branded merchandise. This would be something.

PTN would not need any refurbishment work, as it is virtually brand new. So Oct 1st would be a plausible date. You're right, nothing has been announced apart from anniversary merch.
