Paint the Night and Pixar Play Parade extended

Just announced on Disney Parks Live Stream...

The two parades will run past the end of Pixar Fest in early September until further notice.

There was nothing in the Christmas announcement about PTN continuing. They did state the Festival food booths would be open again.

Did they specifically address the issue of World of Color? I assume this will continue until WoC is repaired. I just wish they would add mid-week Fantasmic! shows while WoC is down in the Fall.

No mention of world of color. It wasn’t mentioned in the holiday entertainment announcements either.

Yes I know. But they didn’t mention WOC either. I would like to think they wouldn’t leave DCA with no evening entertainment in the evening during the holidays.

Yeah, entertainment during the holidays looks a little sparse if they don't do something.

While they technically can run PTN with the holiday booths, it seems like it would be a logistical challenge with so much of the parade viewing taken up by booths (plus, they’d have to close the booths down earlier, right?). Maybe they’ll end up doing it, but I’m doubtful...

I would think they’re hoping for WOC to be back but don’t want to announce in case it’s not fixed yet.

I am glad to hear that they're going to continue to present PtN past the end of summer; at least that means DCA will have nightly entertainment. I wonder if they're thinking of presenting PtN through the end of HalloweenTime and then see if WoC has the potentially to be ready before Christmas. If that's the case, I could see where they would opt to forgo PtN from the start of the Holiday season (and allow the Festival to occur without any disruption) and then start WoC as soon as it is ready (even if it's a couple of weeks into the Holiday season).

From all that I have heard and read, it looks likely that WOC will come back for Halloween Time (quite possibly a Halloween version) and if that happens, I would tend to bet that PTN will close just before Halloween starts for a rehab and then move back across to Disneyland for Christmas, as they won't be able to run it with the food booths at DCA. I also would tend to bet that Pixar Play Parade will not return to Disneyland after the holidays, unless it moves back to DCA as it doesn't fit in at Disneyland.

These are purely speculation on my part based on my past experiences at the Disneyland resort though.

Yeah it seems more unlikely than likely right now.

Doesn't mean it has to start at the beginning of Halloween Time, it can be any time before October 31.
