Paint Shop Pro Help

I have paint shop pro X. Mostly I have been using the program to do digital scrapbooking and I can do the layers, draw a straight line and add text in a straight line. I am still learning all the ins and outs but there are a few things in particular that I can't figure out how to do. I can't for the life of me figure out how to make text curve - I can only add it in a straight line. The same thing when I draw a line - I can't figure out how to make it curvy unless I do it freehand, which I am not very good at.

I tried to read how to do this in the help but I couldn't get it so I was wondering if anyone here could maybe explain in simpler terms. =D

When you have your canvas open, add a new layer.
in your toolbar look for the tool button, the one with the textbaloon and the oval and such
Choose the oval shape, move your mouse over the screen to get a oval circle shape. you can remove that layer later.
add a new layer and click your text tool. move your mouse to the edge of the oval shape and you will see sort of a half cirlce shape appear under the A in your screen. Now type the text you want to add and if you are happy with the way it looks, remove the layer with the oval shape. you can rotate the text if you want, by using rotation...
