Paint Question

I hope that I am posting in the right forum. I have a question regarding the type of paint that will work best in my project. I purchased small rectangular boxes from Bed, Bath and Beyond that are tightly covered in canvas. They only came in a bright pink and I would like to try and paint them blue. I would like to find a paint that will be permanent and be absorbed into the canvas. Any help will be very appreciated.

I would probably use acrylic paint. It is permanent and should paint fairly well on canvas. Acrylic is my personal favorite paint to use. Hope this helps you!!
