Pain and Disappointment Sinking In

I had surgury in 2004 for tendonititis in my right hand. It was unsuccessful, it came back a few months ago. I went to my doctor again, and he said it was back to the surgury room. I had surgury yesterday. Again it was unsuccessful. I still have the tendontitis.

My tendonititis is called "trigger finger." Its where the tendon gets suck and makes it so you cannot bend your finger. It's very painful. I'm sad.

I"m so sorry. Can you move up to another dr. perhaps at a major university and get another consult. Perhaps there is another treatment for cases like this.

Well I talked to my doctor this morning and he thinks it's just the swelling of the tendon (in the surgury they go and cut the tendon). And to just wait a few days. If I continue to have problems and he finds no way to fix them I will attempt to see the other bone doctor here in town (and hope my insurance covers him). Medical University is out of the question because the closest one is about 2 hours away and I can't drive.

I just hope it works out.

There are organizations that help to provide transportation for medical patients who can't drive. Perhaps somebody here can give info.

Sorry you had to have surgery again, if it doesn't get better in a few days I would see what your options are. Maybe your Dr. knows of a program or a way to get you to the university? good luck!
