I think I'm actually just as excited for our 3 nights at Universal as I am our 13 nights at Disney.
Never stayed at RPR, and it looks awesome.
No lines at the rides.
Beautiful resort, everything in proximity.
I only stayed at Universal once (HRH), but it converted me to a fan. I skipped it for years assuming it would be just like a Six Flags, but with hotels. I was wrong. It really is a beautiful, fun resort. They've done an amazing job there.
you will enjoy your stay at RPH.
i have stayed at all 3 hotels and looking forward to a repeat at RPH this fall.
the fotl is heaven sent............
i do both the motherland and darkside on each vacation.
i do the motherland first and then transfer to the darkside hotels.
to me, it is like having 2 separate vacations and i get excited about both of them.
i do have line waits at disney for some things. the parks are large and more time consuming to get around to other parks on the buses for me.
i love to end my vacations at universal.
it is laid back and no commando touring for me.
i really can relax on that portion of my trip.
i have heard other posters say, universal is compared to six flags.
i think people that have never been to the park say that.
once they have stayed on site and visited the parks, they have a different view point.

Our trip is always paid for before we go... We just wait for the credit card bill to come with all the charges and use our vacation fund to pay for it. (Makes the vacation a LOT more relaxing and fun knowing it's already paid for before we even go! )
