Hey Chris, we will be praying for this second transplant. Stay strong and keep the faith. On a side note.....after seeing your completed space shuttle, I had to get me one. Looking forward to putting it together. I did not realize the instruction booklet was 318 pages . I've never read a book that long.....always got the Cliff Notes.....reckon I could do that with the shuttle?

Steve, It will take awhile but follow the instructions and it will all be good. It is a beautiful piece when done.

So day 49, got the results this morning from biopsy the other day. It is my cells that are recovering. If they were my donor I would be headed home. They did not find any of the luekemia in the biopsy, so that is good news. 2nd transplant scheduled next weekend. In the mean time I have some legos to build.

Day 50, not much again to report we are kind of status quo here. Numbers are continuing to rise, and would be headed home if donor had taken. Oh well, we are gearing up for round 2, another Chemo regimen and 2 rounds of Total Body Irradiation. Then a week from today is transplant.
Yesterday got Darth Vaders Meditation Chamber built, that is a lot of black lego's. Today maybe do Luke's X wing or the Land Speeder.
Supposed to get a visit from Reba as long as they give me outside access which they have been doing all week.

Day 51, today we start chemo, have been hooked to iv since last night. Visit with Reba was good, she was very good at the groomers before seeing me. time to start another lego set. small set, obi wans hut.

The chemo last time did not bother me or the radiation. It was the transplant itself that was hard on my body.

So here we are on day 52 in the hospital, day -5 on transplant #2. Chemo yesterday thru Thursday, counts already dropping. Got Obi Wans hut built yesterday took about 2 hours, small set designed more for kids, but gives me something to pass time.
Today gonna start the build on the Imperial Armored Marauder, from the Mandolorian series. Just short of 500 pieces. I have some larger ones for after the transplant as I start to feel better. This week is smaller sets. Everyone who comes in and has not seen my lego shelf wants to stop and look at it. Had a Respiratory Therapist come in last night that was just in awe.
Michigan Football hanging in there. Penn State this weekend. Go Blue !!

Can't wait to see that! I'm not a huge SW fan (other than the 'original' trilogy) but I did LOVE Mandalorian.

nDH didn't have the really severe 'acute' side effects from his chemo/radiation either (ie severe nausea/fatigue). I think it's because he had such good medications management. He's had the 'more annoying' ones though, the loss of taste and non-severe nausea and tiredness. He classes those as 'worth it in the end'.
