Page plus question

Ok my entire family uses page plus - my husband and I have the 29.99 plan. My sons have the pay as u go.

My older son has an iphone and I usually refill $25.00 per month - I have his data off. He is out and about more - thinking of starting to use the 12 a month plan that gives a bit of data plus texts and voice. Is the only difference the data? And if he uses it up then he just gets voice and text - I will not be charged any add'l will I ?

You are correct. What will happen is that if you have any money left under your "current balance", it will take it out from there first, until that balance hits 0 then it will not incur charges if there's no balance.

Have had page plus for a couple of months and really like it. Just wondering how you have an iphone on the plan. I'd really like to get a used iphone on ebay or somewhere similar, but have been reading that page plus wont be able to activate it as it is a 4g phone.

Page Plus will support iPhone 4s. If you want an iPhone 5 series you need to get the Straight Talk version.

it will probably work out the same then right now i pay

$25 x6 = $150

will try the $12x12 = $144

Not a big difference in the amount being paid over the year. My son mostly texts - usually thru imessage as most of his friends have an iphone.

i cannot track his phone though with pay as u go unless its connected to wifi..

any thoughts?

We've had page plus over 2 years now! Love them! You are correct that when he runs out of data or text or messages, he is just simply out. It will not charge you automatically. You can however go online and add money to the account to add extra data or texts, whatever. Then those extras do not expire at the end of the month but roll over until they are gone. We use a lot of wifi on ours and as little data as possible.

Oh, I also have an iPhone 4s. Had no problems at all hooking it up with PP through their online support.

Just bought my son a used iPhone 4S off of ebay for his birthday. He had a droid on page plus and all I did was a esn change online and it was activated with no problems at all.

I don't get how it works. How do you get a phone number then?

Can I buy any phone off ebay and get page plus service?

[if u want an iphone, it has to be a 4 or 4s and has to be a verizon iphone.

Then u call page plus tell them u want to open an account and give them the esn from the phone

Don't need an iPhone. Are you saying that page plus only work with verizon iPhones or verizon phones? thanks much Lisa

I just made sure it use to be on Verizon and that it had a clean Esn. Since he was already on page plus with his droid I just did a Esn swap to take the droid off and put the iPhone on his account. I did it online and had no problems. What I did find was on the 12.00 plan you go thru the 10mb of data really fast using iMessages. Once he was out of data he couldn't send any texts to me using iMessages so I turned iMessages off on his iPhone. The texts just come thru as regular texts.

I have a old Verizon Android phone, that is 4G. Since it's 4G, can I actually activate it on PagePlus? If I can, will it only work off 3G?

I think 4G phones have to be "flashed to page plus" (I do not fully understand that term), but I hear many not all of them will work if you do that.
