Pads for Strollers

We're taking our grandchildren to WDW in August. (Yes, I know it's going to be hot , but it's the only time we can all go. And I did order battery operated fans for the stroller.) My question is, has anyone come up with an idea to pad the stollers? I thought that sitting on padding would not only be more comfortable for them, but would also keep their skin away from the hot plastic. We tried beach towels one time, but they kept sliding around.

Just an idea.....could you use that sticky tape for rugs on the back of a towel or even a small rug? It might just be enough to "cling to the plastic. The sticky tape stuff can be bought about anywhere. I bought it at Lowe's and my rugs on my laminate floor do not move.....You could already have them stuck onto the towel or small rug and just put it in place in the stroller.

There is a product called Dycem which comes on a roll. It is not sticky so won't spoil your rugs or whatever, but it does grip things well. You can cut it to any size you need to and it will stop things from sliding around and could be easily moved from one stroller to another and re-used loads of times.
I have also seen a similar thing for sale here in the UK in pet stores to stop dogs from sliding in the back of a car. This would also work for you.

There is some cushioned shelf and drawer liner made by Rubbermaid that also works well to keep things from sliding.

Thank you all. You gave me some good ideas. I think I'm going to take an old beach towel, cut it to size, double it and stitch it. If I use one of the products recommended, it should stay in place.

What about a bath mat/rug? Many of those are made with non skid backs, and they would be a little thicker than a towel. You can usually find them pretty cheap at discount stores, and I think they would be about the right size.
