I was so happy to see that they announced the opening of Paddlefish in DS. :fish::fish::fish: It feels like this has taken a long time to open, but thankfully, they will be open while I am there in 2 weeks. Does anyone know how long it usually takes from the announcement of an opening date until it's accessible for reservations on MDE? :hourglass TIA!

The menu seems very similar to BOATHOUSE. I wonder if Paddlefish opening will free up some BOATHOUSE ADRs.

Looking at the prices I wonder if it will still be a signature. It won't be a very good value of TS credits if it is, but if it isn't it will be a great value. We're probably headed there in July either way, but I may be able to convince my sister and Her husband to get a TIW card. I'm curious about the Satu'li Canteen in Pandora at AK I it is TS as compared to Toffins also.

Does anyone know if this will be on the dining plan and how many credits?

Based on some of the menu entries it will be on the dining plan and almost certainly will be a signature. I think the prices are about in line with the other signatures. Some of the items would be a "good" use of 2 dining credits, others not so much. For example, the sea bass for $42, NY strip for $49 and short rib for $48 aren't terrible deals. The "Cracker" seafood boil is also covered by the plan and is $57, but some of the other boils have a surcharge. Looks like snow crab will be covered by the plan, but king crab and lobster will have a pretty hefty surcharge.

According to the Disney website, it's listed as "Fine/Signature" dining. The link provided above mentions that it will open on 4 Feb but reservations not taken until starting on the 6th. And, I'll have to see how the dishes are, but the menu looks intriguing: charred octopus, lobster guacamole, hamachi crudo, branzino, lobster risotto, and black cod in papillote to name just a few.

I might be one of the few but after seeing the menu I would love to have Fultons back.

As would we. Odds are very good that we'll be going to Shula's for a REAL lobster from now on....

WDW can classify this as a SIG if they wish :). Don't forget - they do that with LeCelier :).

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

Thanks for pointing that out! I read the menu on a post from another site and that page wasn't included in the article. It's almost certainly a signature at that price point.

The problem for our party is a lot of the seafood entrees and a dessert come to about $45 when you need to hit about $75 to break even on the standard plan. It just underscores the frequently poor value of using the standard plan to dine at signatures. This may help me make the case for the TIW card assuming they accept it.

This is the first menu I have seen with specific upcharges for the dining plan. I wonder how quickly some of the other signatures will have these added as well. I think for us it is still a good value on the DxDDP, we just need to see if they start taking the plan as soon as late March. I would like to try it if they do.

Agreed. The menu looks pretty good, and has many more options than restaurants like Narcoossee's or Flying Fish. Seems to be more comparable to Boat House. We'll probably give it a shot this November (unless reviews are awful in the interim).

Mmmmm, now I want to add this after maxing out on places I want to try. I really like the menus.

Can anyone enlighten me about the lobster corn dog?? I have heard raving reviews but never seen pictures or description of
how its prepared?

That menu actually looks a little interesting. I've been so disappointed with some of the WDW seafood restaurants that were like Red Lobster or some other crappy chain restaurant. Charred Octopus and Hamachi always get my attention.

Also, I don't do dining plans, but I have noticed the upcharges at Monsiuer Paul. Sorry, I don't remember specifics.
