Packs of tortillas at the mission factory

Could somebody please tell me how to get the packs of tortillas at the mission factory? My gf and I always do that tour multiple times for the free samples, and would love to be able to get a package every now and then. Thanks

Yep, they only give out the dozen packs to people who are celebrating birthdays.

Our 8 and 10 yr old will be celebrating their bday when we're there in Nov so I'll be sure to bring them in!

We buy Mission tortillas all the time, and there's a world of difference between the Mission factory-fresh tortillas (even 2 days later when eating from the birthday pack) and the ones you get at the store.

They would give her a tortilla on a day that wasn't her b'day, so of course she'd get the pack! You just have to make sure the button is noticed. One CM didn't notice DS's button (she gave us one each), but another one swooped in with a pack as we were about to leave with our single tortillas.

With a family of 5, you'd think we'd just happen to make it to DL for SOMEONE's birthday. So far, we always miss them though. The closest birthday to our trip is Oct. 23rd, and we won't be there until the 2nd of Nov. I vaguely remember doing the tortilla tour back in '06, but haven't done it since. My kids love tortillas, so we will definitely plan on it for this winter.

I would think you could postpone the October celebration until November. I celebrated my birthday the week before the actual date, when we were at Disneyland for the day in '06!

You can buy a package of tortillas at the Mexican counter service restaurant that is right next to the factory. They are not sealed packages, but come in a plastic bag with a twist-tie. I'm not sure if they are on the menu, but we buy them almost every visit. Don't know the cost as my mom is the one who buys them, but I think there are 10 or 12 in the package.

For those times inbetween DL trips: They aren't Mission, but Costco sells uncooked tortillas that I buy all the time. You cook them in a non stick pan for a few seconds. Yum. Also, Chevy's makes their own freash tortillas. Love to get them with the fajita.
