I feel like that is what I need to do. I have a 7, 3 and 8 month old. Since the weather can be warm and cool I need to pack shorts and warmer clothes. The baby needs a change of clothes everyday anyway and so does my 3 yo. I feel like I need to bring all their clothes! I will have a washer dryer at our resort. I dread packin because Im an over packer to begin with!

Today is my packing day, and I'm avoiding it by checking e-mail and lurking here! My DD7 told me the 3 (!) pairs of pjs she wants to bring. . .can you imagine if I let her pick out daytime clothes!!! :rotfl2: Last year, when they slapped a HEAVY sticker on our very large suitcase I knew were were in trouble!

We have a washer/dryer in our villa this time, so I'm determined to keep the packing light, but it is a challenge with the weather probably being both shorts and long pants weather.

I need to remember that last year, after I did a load of wash in the laundry facilities, my DDs and DH wore what they had already worn. . creatures of habit, everyone likes to wear the same three things if they're clean. . remember that.. .remember that. . .remember that. . .go pack. . go pack. . .go pack. . .

We leave in 13 days. Have started laying out clothes for dd almost 3 and ds6. DD keeps adding and adding and adding to the pile!!! We are going for 2 weeks so I know I need to do laundry at some point. 1 week at Disney, change hotels for 5 days at Gaylord Palms for dh conference. (here is where I'll do laundry...and dh will need business casual clothes!!! then 3 days at Universal. :rotfl2: Great trip...but a packing nightmare! If I don't bring the clothes, I just know it will rain, have weather extremes, and we'll be plowing through the clothes! If I bring all this stuff....we'll have great weather, no accidents, and wear many of the same outfits more than once!! LOL :rotfl: I just don't know what to do. This is the 1st thread that came up on my search...if anyone has any tips I'm all ears!!!!

I'm in the same boat! I dread packing and I'm so excited to go that I can hardly think logically about it! Good luck everybody and have a wonderful trip no matter how much luggage you bring! :sunny:

I'm bringing both summer and winter clothes. I will bring 5 outfits for warm and cold weather. Plus a couple of sweatshirts and light jackets. I'm trying to decide if we should bring winter coats. It sure was easier packing for October!

Whew! So I'm not the only one procrastinating! This was supposed to be my packing day, too, since dd4 last day of school is today and we want to surprise her. Now I'll have to sneak into her room at night with a flashlight, commando style. I think it's the unknown that's throwing me off, I have no idea what to expect weather-wise and I just know that I'll end up packing way way too much.

Thanks for making me feel better for not being the only one!

We're going in 8 days, :bounce: and I've been stressing about the same thing! A friend at work just got back over the weekend and said it was about 80 during most of the days, but a few were in the mid-to-high 70's. We're staying at a time-share and have laundry facilities in our condo. I'm only packing for 4 days and plan on doing laundry. I've bought the boys (ages 3 and 6) the pants that zip off.....planning on them being in "short" mode during the day and will zip the rest on at night for long pants. Going to bring a short and long sleeve shirt for each zippered pants and not much more......HOPEFULLY.....I'm a chronic over-packer that is trying to reform!!!!!!!! :rolleyes1

I'm right there with you guys - we have went 3 years before this same time of year (leaving next Friday) and have always had beautiful weather and have NEVER needed the warmer stuff we took. I told DH if I decided to only take warm weather clothes it would be in the 50s all week :) I am however taking mostly warm weather clothes and then a pair or two of jeans each and a couple of sweatshirts each just in case.

I started packing today! I packed a little of everything- shorts, tees, jeans, swimsuits. For my 3 yo I mostly packed capri pants and 2 pairs of shorts. Most of her shorts outfits from summer have tank tops and what if it's not that hot. My 7yo has mostly shorts and 2 pairs of pants he can change into at night. The baby has 5 outfits of each warm and cool. I'm going to bring sweaters, swetashirts and coats since we are drivng form a chilled out NYC.I'll have hats and gloves too. I do need to buy more socks, undershirts for the kids. Now to pack for Dh and myself.

We are leaving on the 23rd and have not packed one bit yet. I was hoping to pack this weekend but I just found out that soccer is not done and we have 3 games this Saturday and on Sunday we will be in the city all day. I think I am going to start to stress now that I actually see how close our trip is. There is Myself my DH, DS 12, DD 11, DS 8. :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Disney here we come!

Well folks, it's only 9 hrs till we leave, and I am not quite done. Packing for 7 isn't easy!!! I hope you guys all have fun. we leave at 3am central time and are staying until nov. 26th.

WARNING!!!!! My sister (her and her family are going with us) just checked the weather for Disney for next week. The temps are supposed to be very LOW.....highs of 70-71 in the daytime for some days. The cold snap that we are having in NJ is all over the country and the report she read said that it would last in FL until at LEAST Thanksgiving. (not sure where she read this...will have to ask her) :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

I lay the piles of clothes out tshirt & shorts for each day then I go thru and lay out a pair of leggins that match or a pair of jeans that can do multiple nights. 2 Long sleeve cottom shirts and 2 either sweatshirts or fleeces. They have the mid weight jacket they needed to wear to the airport also. I use an average size suitcase for the 2 girls (5 & 8) whatever I can fit into that one suitcase is what I take. 2 pair of shoes each. Then I get my own suitcase whatever I can fir into it with the same theory on clothing. I have gotten pretty good at it usually go the same time in December every year. The coolest night I have experienced was a long sleeve cotton shirt w/ a fleece over top and that was in the evening.

Something else we are taking that is small but helpful are the headband ear covers and the stretchy gloves. Even if it's pretty chilly I'm fine in just a sweatshirt if my ears and hands are warm.
