Packing question

I'm not sure where to post this so I've posted in both forums (welcome to the DIS and this one). Sorry if that's a no-no.

We are leaving in 6 days ( ) and I'm trying to put together outfits for the kids, but I'm wondering if I should mostly pack tank tops, or throw in some t-shirts? I checked the weather (accuweather.com and weather.com say 2 different things.......go figure!), and it looks like it's going to be between 85-90 everyday. So far I've packed mostly tank tops because 90 is SCORCHING hot to us Ohioans. Also, is there any sense in packing long pants? I am bringing each of us a light jacket or hoodie incase it gets a bit chilly at night. Also, can we just wear casual clothes to all of these restaurants:

50's Primetime (supper)
Sci Fi (lunch)
Storybook Princess breakfast (duh)
Le Cellier (lunch)
Coral Reef (supper)
Hoop Dee Doo (dinner show)
Liberty Tree Tavern (supper)

I am packing 2 bathing suits for each of us. We are staying 7 nights/6 days. I'm packing 8 outfits for everyone plus what we've got on for our arrival day. So far am I on the right track? I am going to bring laundry soap for just incase, but I don't plan on doing laundry while we're there. Thanks a bunch!

everything sounds good to me. Dont think I would do long pants. and casual dress is fine for the places you have listed.

enjoy your visit :cool1:

I always stick with what acuweather says. Last year weather.com told us it was going to storm and rain the whole time we were in Jamaica and acuweather.com said it would be beautiful. Acuweather.com was right!

Don't forget the sun is brutal to us Ohioans too! I would pack a couple of t shirts just in case someone gets a sunburn. We've visited at all different times of the year and I would pack a pair of pants for everyone. They could be the zip off kind or a pair of capris but it is good to have them just in case.

Have a wonderful trip!

I agree with Bobcat-the top of your shoulders is REALLY easy to burn. take some t-shirts just in case

I will be there the same time!!! Alot of sunscreen!! Yes , i am packing about the same but i am taking t-shirts some of my kids burn really easy.
Kim :yay: :yay: :yay:

:cool1: Hello,
We are from PA so 90 to us is HOT, too. That being said, I agree with the other posters who said to pack tshirts. The air conditioning tends to be frigid, so despite the blazing heat outside, you may want a little cover from the arctic air inside. Just a thought! As for pants, that's a toss-up. It all depends on how much room you have and if you think that you'll be chilly enough to wear them.

Have fun! :goodvibes

I was there last year the second week of May and it was hot (and I mean Texas, fry to a crisp hot). I'd probably bring t shirts rather than tank tops since the top of the shoulders get burned so easy. Also bring plenty of sunscreen. Last year I went solo and thought one of those travel size containers of suncsreen with the clip on it would be enough. I ran out the next to the last day and decided I could get by that last day since I was only spending a 1/2 day in the parks before catching my plane home=BIG MISTAKE! By the way you might also want to bring some after sun gel for sunburns. You shouldn't need any jackets or long pants, save the space.

I totally agree with Aubriee!!! I just bought a bottle of Aloe gel to bring on May 7th. I am Irish...no sense in taking chances. Kinda a "better safe than sorry" situation with packing!!!

We're from PA and we leave in 7 days...our 1st trip-HOORAY! That being said we are very fair skinned so I think I am only going to pack t-shirts for my kiddos...ages 3 and 6. I figure if I don't bring tank tops then they won't be able to argue with me about whether or not they're allowed to wear them
