I had an idea that might be the dumbest thing I've ever thought of.

If we stay in POR, a huge concern is the lack of drawer space. We have a bunch of those plastic dorm-type drawer on wheels in the office. Would it be dumb to pack them full of the kids' clothes, tape them shut, and then throw them in the minivan?

I was thinking I could put them in the sink area under the open closet.

Not dumb, but maybe bulky and awkward to lug from your van to your room and vice versa?

I would suggest those collapsible hanging closet organizers. Inexpensive, little added bulk, and quick to set up and take down. Tuck an outfit into each little "shelf" to make your mornings easy.

yes, we use these, especially at Fort Wilderness where the drawer space is at a premium. Good quality and low price versions at Ikea.

I have never tried this, but I think it is a great idea! I will try to remember that next time it is an issue. What I like best is you don't even need to full unpack anything! I think you would definitely want a luggage cart to get it to/from the car, though. Like a PP said, it seems it'd be awkward to carry otherwise. And if it is as flimsy as one of ours, it would be liable to fall apart on the way.
