Thanks for posting this Lisa. It's really getting close isn't it??? I still haven't nailed down exactly what I'll be wearing, although I have a good idea of what I will wear. I'll post when I know for sure.

Don't forget glide or vaseline for those sensitive areas! I have to put some on right under the elastic on my running bra against my rib cage. Yuck!

You can substitute a garbage bag for the throw away blanket, too, if you wish.

Sunscreen? if you are fair like me!

definitely need the Body Glide!
Clif Bars
Park passes
Official Race Number Pick up card and Waiver!
Money
Bottled water

That's what I can think of so far!

edited to add:
Hat
cheapie cotton gloves
lip balm
small pieces of hard candy for 'dry mouth' (I like Jolly Ranchers)

FYI- Target had cute gloves in the $1.00 section of their store. I also found toilet seat protectors in their travel size shampoo and so on section. I was REALLY happy about that!

LOL, Karen! I am thinking I won't even have enough time for my bottom to touch the seat! ;) In my training so far, I haven't had to stop to use the restroom. The 10 mile day will be a truer test though.

I have a huge bladder, but when I drink all that I do when I'm training, I have to go at least once- so- better safe then sorry!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Perhaps I am not drinking enough water? I went through 2 water bottles on my 8 mile walk.

I was told at least 8 oz every 30 minutes- hope that helps!

The water bottle I carry is 12 oz and I finish it in an hour. If I try to drink more, I get cramps.

I don't follow the drinking rule--heck, I drank too much in that half marathon and started getting cramps--so I stopped drinking water at the water stations. You have to listen to your body--but if you wait until you are thirsty, then that is too late for water--but if you are constantly drinking water, you also need to pay attention to those "too much water" signs--it happens to people at Disney, so be careful. We were warned about this.

I will add toilet seat covers to the list when I get back from DDs dance class. Another finish line incentive--go fast to get to indoor plumbing sooner :)

CRIKEY....I'd be at every port-a-potty stop along the way! Actually, I probably do drink nearly that much every half hour on my long walk, come to think of it!
