Do I need PAM? Are the frying pans nonstick?

Skip the paper towels, you get two rolls to start with in the villa and Mousekeeping will give you more if ask for them at no charge.
I can't remember if the pans are non stick.

I also bring:

Chip clips
Ziplock bags in a variety of sizes
Ziplock or Glad small disposable plastic bowls with lids for leftovers or for use as additional cereal bowls.

I have used timeshares for years now, albeit not DVC, and think I have this packing thing down. I would suggest no paper plates and no paper towels. We end up using the dishes anyway for b'fast and paper towel provided by DVC will do for a plate if needed. We have hardly used the paper plates and they do give you enough towels. The few dishes just get loaded in the dishwasher. That said, at home, I use a ton of paper plates....I think I use more dishes on vacation oddly enough b/c I do not feel any obligation on vacation to empty the dishwasher and we use so little. I also packed portable snack for kids (if you have any) like cereal bars, pringle minis. Crackers for a snack perhaps. But less truly is more!

Dishwasher soap is provided and they will bring more if you run out. I never clean the bathroom while on vacation. If we are there for more than 7 days we get a full cleaning.

I second the vote for no paper plates - the units are so well appointed that you really don't need them.
Extra laundry sheets (love those Purex all-in-ones) are great.
We usually bring cereal with us.
And I'm starting to be conscious of the quality of bedding for the pull-out sofa. At some point, I suspect we'll be bringing our own there because I have not been impressed with the cleanliness and quality of what's provided. It seems odd that we get this great duvet in the main bedroom, while the sofabed has only a thin blanket.
We fly, but my solution will be to use one of those vacuum shrink-wrap bags to condense the size of an extra comforter.

To save room in packing soap/dryer sheets purchase the "purex 3in1" sheets. They are dryer sheets that have the soap and fabric softener built right in. Put them with the wash and transfer to dryer - they work great!
Other items to consider:
-camelbacks - save a ton of money not having to buy bottled water. we fill up every morning with ice at the dispenser and top off with water. Cold drink all day long!
- Pur faucet filter. Although the Kidani water is better than other resorts (different county) it is nice to have the filtered water.

Binoculars are fun to have at AKV.

I like to have a larger coffee mug, but may not be necessary (I use the same large mug for coffee and "adult" drinks -- the refillable mug is fine, if you get one).

Some plastic bags for leftovers (different sizes -- take a few to the park; also, if you go on a wet ride, you can put your wallet/phone in one).

If you're cooking, some spray or olive oil might be handy (may depend on how you're travelling). I take a small nonstick fry pan for eggs; not sure what AKV has -- some places now seem to have one nonstick pan.

Your own coffee is important (and anything you like to put in it).

Salt, pepper, and lemon pepper.

The Purex sheets are handy, if you can stand the odor -- which doesn't seem to linger badly after use.

Bedding question, I will have 3 kids in the living room, is there enough pillows and blankets for the pull out sofa and chair?

If you are checking your luggage or driving I recommend taking a sharp knife if you plan on doing any cooking. The ones that are provided are dangerous! We keep one in our Owner's locker now. I also bring a wisk. I agree with the Purex 3 in 1 sheets. We love them for Disney.

Yes, you should have three pillows total and sheets and a blanket for each fold out. If they like more pillows, bring your own.

I heard the Purex sheets are bad on front loaders. Are the washers and dryers at AKV-KV front loaders. Are they HE washers? That will also make a difference in the type of laundry detergent you use.

I agree with all the above suggestions. I also bring some tea bags to make a pitcher of ice tea and Splenda......and coozies and a soft collapsable cooler for the pool.

I bring a few sheets of aluminum foil in case we want to heat something in the oven. I also bring sanitizing wipes to clean the remotes, phone, counter tops etc......I'm paranoid and it only takes 5 minutes!!!

I also bring aluminum foil and cling wrap.
Sanitizing wipes are a must. The first thing we do is wipe all the above, including door and cupboard knobs, switches, appliance handles - basically, everything that others have touched.

What about handrails on the attractions, seats on the buses, toilets in the theme parks, etc.? I actually think the housekeepers do a pretty good job of cleaning the villas.

The housekeepers might do a pretty good job of cleaning - sometimes, but not always. They certainly don't do much, if any sanitizing, especially of the surfaces mentiioned. To each his own, but we prefer to try to remove other people's germs in our private living space. Doesn't take too much effort.
As far as pubic areas are concerned, we use hand sanitizers to protect ourselves from those germs as much as possible.

We do the same. I know that others think I'm a bit quirky. But I have a tough time relaxing if I don't wipe most surfaces down with Clorox wipes. And it only take a few minutes. When I am out in the parks I do avoid handrails and such as much as possible. Plus I wash my hands often before eating and such while out in public. I don't want to feel like I need to constantly wash my hands in the comfort of my own room. OK, should I call myself obsessive? I find it funny that people feel like they have to challenge our reasoning for doing it. If it makes us comfortable, who cares? To each his own.

I never wiped down stuff in the room, but, all the public areas I usually carry wipes and hand sanitizer with me. I try not to think about all the other people who've slept in the bed, took a shower, and used the toilet. It's all pretty gross, but I never had a dirty room, or the feel of a dirty room at any of the DVC resorts.
