I know people ship boxes ahead- but I was just going to pack a suitcase filled with dry goods, snacks and stuff to bring along. My question is- Is there any chance that the water bottles will expand or explode in the cargo area of the plane? What about juice boxes? I know the cabins are pressurized but I didn't want to pack everything as a carryon. Thanks for any help...

Hi, do you have babies and this is like special drinks?
I would leave just the liquids till Orlando and buy it from the super market on the way to the hotel, we need a lot of water and juices so we buy it once we reach. call the airline or the travel agent they should know about it.

I don't know if they would explode - but DH works in security at an airport here in the UK and he says ' Have you seen the way they throw the cases around - it's a wonder that anything arrives in one piece'.... I would be concerned that they could possibly break and ruin the other contents of the case - why not stop and buy the water at a supermarket on your way to your accomodation....

Water is pretty heavy and most airlines limit your checked baggage to 50 lbs. Aside from the possibility that the bottles could break or leak, you may end up paying overweight baggage charges just to bring the water with you. If making a grocery stop between the airport and your resort is not a possibility, then I recommend shipping a package to yourself or just purchasing bottled water and juice in the parks. The last thing that you need is luggage than arrives soaking wet and sticky.

Hi, a couple of years ago, i filled one small case soley with drink cartons and bottles and they all arrived intact. :)

Last September my DBF and I went to the Virgin Islands and booked our trip through Expedia so we flew with several different airlines. (I think it was US Airways and Delta) Anyways we bought a lot of liquor (it's extremely cheap) and cigarettes and other non-alcoholic drinks. When we got back to Virginia and opened our suitcases. A carton of cigarettes was gone, two bottles of liquor, and almost all of the food we had brought back. We called the airlines and each said we had to call the other one and expedia wanted nothing to do with it at all. So we lost all of the stuff. I would suggest either shipping it ahead of time or putting it in a small suitcase as a carry on.

P.S. Also two of the bottles that did make it broke even though we wrapped them in all of the clothes and towels we had. :( Oh well, we had 4 bottles left and clothes that smelled like banana rum :teeth:
