Packing in Reverse - what did you pack that you didn't need

I always pack too many clothes because while I'm packing I can't decide what I want to wear. We are going in October and I've promised myself not to do it again. Also shoes. I'm always reading how you shouldn't wear the same ones everyday so I take several. Not necessary for me. I work on my feet 12 hrs a day most days so I'm used to being on them and know what shoes I can wear multiple days. Not taking a lot of shoes this year either.

From what I have found, they are cooling towels. You get them wet and wring them out then wrap it on yourself and it cools you down as it drys out. They sell some for $20 but you can also get them much cheaper so shop for the best deal. I haven't got ours yet so I don't know from personal experience but my husband swears by them as he has used them in the past.

I think they work a lot better when in places without high humidity. Using them in Arizona and Nevada was very different than using them in Florida.

For the OP: I always bring too many clothes, for DS and myself. DH usually brings exactly the right amount.
Also, too many snacks and drinks. I usually bring a 12 pk of soda, 2 boxes of Capri Suns, and a 24 pk of water (for 3 people!), in a big cooler. We'll use maybe 4 cans of soda, a box of CS, and 8 bottles of water....the rest of the time we just buy drinks at the park. Same with snacks.
