We are going to WDW Feb 11th-15th with our 14 mo old and our 2 mo old...and this is our 1st big trip with our kids.....I am trying to write my lis of hings to pack and would like some suggestions of things that might not seem obvious..that I may over look! Thank you so much for any advice!!::MinnieMo

Hi there. We're leaving around the same time for our first trip with our DD too. I've been obsessing over what to pack!! I made a seperate list for Allie so I could double check quickly before we leave. Here's a few things that aren't as obvious:

sunscreen....even though its not going to be hot, the sun can still get to her.
shot records
copy of birth certificate
insurance ID cards
lullaby CDs...I just thought it would be a good idea to calm her in case she gets a little freaked about spending the night in a new place.

Plus the necessities. I'm an OCD planner, so I'm bringing way too much of everything. You can never be too prepared! :scared:

don't forget the "little things" for you and DH! What helps me is to jot down things over a 2-3 period that the family seems to need (for us it would be dental floss, tylenol, nail polish for touchups, face scrub, allergy tablets...you get the picture):thumbsup2 Then I go to WalMart and get as much as I can in travel size and pack it in the non-carryon luggage. When DS and DD were little, they had a favorite blanket so that had to make the cut! Have a wonderful time!:hippie:

There are my must haves:

Children's Pepto Bismol
Duck tape
First Aid Kit
Ear plugs--my son hates loud noises but loves watching fireworks

I always travel with a first aid kit for DD with: Tylenol, Motrin, the syringe dispensers for each, thermometer, nail clippers, Vapor Rub, Aquaphor ointment, Neosporin & band-aids.

For the 2 month old, you may want to consider bringing your own sheet for the pack & play. Housekeeping will provide you with bedding, but your little one may sleep better if the sheet smells like home.

Any comfort items like pacifiers, blankets, etc. (always bring more than one!)

Hats & sunscreen for both little ones...even in February that FL sun can do a number on eyes & skin!

Your rain cover for the stroller, to protect it while you're inside. Some sort of identifying object, like a big name tag or a brightly colored scarf tied around the handle, will help it stand out. (The cover is also great for blocking the wind on breezy days, cool evenings.)

I'd recommend bringing a front pack carrier, sling, etc. for the 2 month old. It'll help with standing in line, and leave your hands free to steady yourself while getting on/off rides.

If your 14 month old has a particular snack that's a MUST HAVE every day, I'd bring a supply of it. I've found sturdy Tupperware containers protect even soft items like cereal bars really well in the suitcase.

Have a great trip, it's always a blast to see WDW anew through the eyes of little ones! :yay:

I don't know if you plan on swimming while on vacation but don't forget the swim diapers and floaties, diaper rash creams. I am taking my DD's (21 months) forks so she can feed herself with her small fork.
