Packing help, please

Hello!

I am flying out to Vegas in a couple of weeks, and I am going to take a camera bag as one of my carry-ons. Is it OK to have a mini-tripod in my camera bag, or should it be in my checked luggage?

I can't see why it would be a problem.

I have always carried my mini in the bag with no problems. The full size and/or the monopod has always had to be checked though.

A mini should be fine. I usually have mine in my camera bag without an issue.

Check the TSA website to be certain, but last time I looked there were no restrictions on photo equipment. I carried a GorillaPod in February, no problem.
