Due to lack of availability, we have scheduled our first Split Stay, for later this year.

I have read a lot of good information, on this site, about the process of packing up and changing DVC sites.

However, there is one aspect of the packing up, that I haven't read about.

How do you pack up the Dry and Refrigerated food items?
Do you have to pack those items up? And if so, what do you have to pack them up in (Plastic bags, paper boxes, something else)?
Do you have to supply the Plastic Bags or Paper boxes, or do they have something to use?
Do you have to pack up the Dry and Refrigerated food items separately?

I don't think we will have a lot of food items, but I just want to be prepared, to make the packing up and moving as easy as possible for everyone involved.

Thanks

We always have our own zip-lock bags and plastic disposable containers. You definitely pack perishables separate from dry goods, even separating freezer items from regular refrigeratables. Bell services will store/refrigerate/freeze your items, as appropriate, until your new villa is ready.

BTW, are you on the wait list at your first resort so that you might not have to move?

Thanks for the Information.

We also use zip lock bags and plastic containers.

But I was wondering what we should put the different categories of food in, before bell services arrive.
Should we use the plastic bags that grocery stores use, and will that work for heavy things like Milk and OJ, or do we need something like cardboard boxes to put things in.

Just wondering, because if we do have to move resorts, I want to make it easy for the folks to get everything to us.

We are on a wait list. It would be great if it came through, but I am just planing ahead, in case it doesn't.

Thanks again.

We had Garden Grocer deliver our groceries at our first hotel and we saved the grocery bags they were delivered in to repack the items for the move. We "tagged" the bags that had to be refrigerated and then also told Bell Services which bags had to be refridgerated. We double bagged to make sure that they were sturdy.
