My DD is 4. She choses to wear dresses almost every day. I don't mind it at home at all. However, I was thinking about what she will wear at Disney. Is there any reason she shouldn't wear dresses if that is what she picks out. I totally go for comfort, and to me dresses don't sound as comfy, but she wears them most days of the week. Also, that would mean less luggage, I guess.

Thanks!

my DD4 wore a few in Feb and was fine, I never gave it a thought, mostly short sun dresses, no problems at all. HTH :3dglasses

I asked pretty much this same question a few weeks ago about my 2 year old wearing dresses. The responses I got said that it wasn't a problem. I was mostly worried about her legs getting burned when sitting on hot ride seats or benches. I guess the seats aren't that hot. :teeth:

My oldest dd was a "dress-only" girl, too. You can get some really cute, comfortable dresses pretty cheap now on clearance that would perfect for WDW.

I would pack a bunch of sundresses that don't wrinkle.

HTH

Go for the dresses! I would suggest wearing a pair of bike shorts under them, though. My oldest DD was a dress-only girl at age 4 too. It was so easy! I always bought Lands' End knit dresses for her because they fit her well and washed up nicely. I also bought 5 pairs of knit bike shorts from Wal-Mart in different colors and she just picked a dress, picked her shorts, and we were good to go for the day. She was perfectly comfy and looked better dressed than me. :teeth:

Ah, I miss those days of easy dressing--it's much harder now that she's out of that phase. Now if I could just get her little sister to pick up the dress craze! ;)

Ditto to the bike shorts, I'm now inclined to make sure my 3 1/2 y.o. has something under her dresses now, as she is too young to be modest, and I'm leery of creepoids out there who get a rush at seeing a little girl's panties.

P.S. where'd you get your Higglytown Heroes avatar? I need some playhouse Disney avatars!

My husband found the avitar the internet somewhere. He was able to size it down for me. I was excited when he emailed it to me.

You didn't say (or maybe I missed it) what time of year you are going? If it is a winter month You might want to throw a pair of stretchy leggings in your bag to pull on if it gets a bit cool. I have 3 "dress" girls 5Y and 8Y know to be modest, but 2Y... :confused3 My kids love skorts (you know little skirts with shorts already attached underneath) they have a lot on clearance @ www.jcpenney.com in the "online outlet" section. (I know I just bought a bunch for 8y for Nov. trip) I also got some great bargains on Ebay. Under clothing and accessories; girls I just typed in her size. They were all fairly inexpensive and new...just watch shipping rates.
I also LOVE Lands End knit dresses!
Oh since I digressed a little (sarcasm) she will be fine in a dress. :sunny:

DD was 4 when we went last year and wore dresses just about everyday. Let me tell you, it was super easy to pack and get her dressed each day. The only mini problem we had was at AK, in the BoneYard she wanted to roll around and play in the sand. I saw her lovely Tinkerbell underpants more than once. Most times I tell her to sit like a lady and she is fine.

Last Sept. DD (2 at the time). Wore dresses the entire trip. They were all Disney themed (mom is a GREAT seamstress). Everything was great. She wears the "bloomers" over panties though----Because SHE doesn't want anyone to see her "shinies". Where she came up with it I do not know :confused3
