What are the must bring/buy items that you recommend when staying at Bonnet Creek? Food is an obvious one but I am sure there are some other not so thought of items that make things easier.

We brought plastic utensils, cups and plates. I'm not into doing dishes on vacation :) Also brought trash bags, a few rolls of paper towels, TP and laundry detergent.

I can say from experience its easy to bring way too much stuff. They provide pretty much everything you need.

They provide laundry detergent, but no dryer sheets. Some people don't like to do laundry on vacation, but I think it helps you pack so much lighter.

Plastic bags to hold snacks are always useful.

They provide a roll of paper towels, but you could run out if you use them a lot.

Agree with a PP, plastic bags to put your leftover food. Plastic cups to take drinks at the pool.

Aluminum foil if you want to grill and an over the door hook for the bathroom door.

We have called and gotten extra TP, Paper towels, laundry and dish soap when we have stayed here before so I don't bother packing any of that.
you will need baggies and foil and saran wrap if you plan to cook. . . .
Plus I remember they do'nt have a pizza pan, so you need foil for that in the oven.

Otherwise you really dont need anything!:)

Depends. Here are some suggestions:

-Pool towels (BC lets you check out some, but I know some people who like to bring their own).
-Dishwasher detergent tabs (BC gives you two small packs of the powdered stuff but I always run out)
-Laundry detergent tabs (again BC provides a few packs, but never enough and I don't like their brand anyways)
-Aluminum foil. Comes in handy for grilling, baking, food storage, etc.
-Collapsible space saving hamper (a good idea for any trip so you don't end up with piles of dirty clothes)

Foodwise - If you'll be cooking in the room, I'd bring some small containers of the basics that you normally use. For us that would be salt/pepper (BC provides a tiny portion), small bottle of olive oil, butter, ketchup, mustard and mayo.

I wouldn't bother with the plastic utensils and plastic cups. BC does provide tall plastic cups so we just use those to bring down to the pool. And we've seen most people bring down the plates and utensils from the room when grilling. So that's up to you if you'd want to use their stuff or not.

If you plan to cook you should bring some spices and the condiments that you can't live without. I also brought dishwasher tabs and laundry supplies. We NEEDED to buy TP as the stuff they supply makes sandpaper feel soft.

I brought....
S&P
garlic powder
ketchup
mustard
microwave popcorn
crystal light drink powder
a half used roll of tin foil
assorted sizes of Ziploc bags
tea/coffee
sugar packets
pre measured bags of pancake mix
peanut butter

If you have to start buying condiments it ends up costing a fortune. I saved up small plastic containers that could be disposed of to bring enough ketchup etc. just for our trip. Then the left overs were thrown away without too much guilt.

I also brought things like granola bars....snack type items that I had in the cupboard at home. Can't remember exactly what though.

We are driving so we could seriously pack the kitchen sink!

I have pinned this post- lots of good ideas. My favorite so far is the collapsible laundry basket. We had laundry ALL over the place last time. It was nutso! Paper plates too- we did dishes last time every single day.

In the past I took alot to 'cook' in the room. This time I am planning to freeze some 'crockpot' meals and take my crockpot. Hopefully this way I will use less pans and spend less time actually 'cooking'.
My plan is throw stuff in the crockpot when we head out for the parks, and when we return for afternoon break we will have dinner ready then we can head back. I am gonna get those 'linners' for the crockpot so hopefully clean up will be a breeze!

Also, you may want to bring some small rubbermaid containers for left overs or you can just use ziplocks.

We always do very simple meals.

breakfast...
cereal or instant oatmeal
pancakes
toast or bagels

lunches...
sandwiches
dinner leftovers
mac n cheese.....think KD

dinners...
Frozen lasagna
frozen pizza
bagged salads
hot dogs
pasta and jar sauce
pre roasted grocery store whole chicken

We will also have a supply of fruit and raw veggies with hummus.

Do we prefer to eat better than this....YES! But if I want to do 2 week vacays I have to keep the budget down somewhere. So we eat some cheap/simple meals in the condo and have a few nice ones out.

Went with DH, DS4 and my sister for 8 nights last fall. From home, I brought napkins, plastic cups, disposable travel cups, dishwasher tabs, foil, Clorox wipes, single-use laundry detergent packets and dryer sheets. I did a load of laundry while eating breakfast, then started the dryer and dishwasher before we left for the parks. I brought a bag of coffee and filters from home, since we each drank at least 2 mugs every morning. I wish I'd brought a baking pan because I like to bake bacon in the oven to cut down on mess. I recommend bringing beach towels for the pool, as well as floaties or other pool toys, as they are pricey at the resort, but you can buy them cheap at Walgreens. If you plan to use the lazy river at Tower 5, make sure to bring innertubes for your smaller kids. I brought snacks like individual servings of Goldfish, granola bars, applesauce pouches and candy from home.

We went shopping at the Publix on 192 after checking in and bought OJ, fruit juice, bananas, chocolate milk, creamer, Eggos, bacon, pancake mix, almond milk and frozen fruit for smoothies, iced tea, beer, and some chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese from the deli. Bought rum from the liquor store next door. We ate breakfast in the room every morning to save money and time, and lunch/dinner a few times. I know plenty of people hate doing this stuff on vacation, but for us it meant we were able to pack fewer clothes and could splurge on 2 nice TS meals, instead of all QS meals that week.

Make sure you check your appliances when you get to the room. I had to dump out my smoothie and eat in the park our first morning because the motor had burned out. They brought a new one that afternoon but it was a minor inconvenience.

We drive, so don't mind bringing extras with us. We always bring 10 or so Tide single-use laundry paks (not sure what they call them). The 2 or 3 free packs of laundry detergent they provide is never enough. I also bring a bag of 3 or 4 cascade dishwasher things.

Once we arrive we typically hit up a wal-mart or target for additional things. A small package of higher quality TP is typically on the list. The stuff they provide isn't bad, but there typically isn't enough of it for the week for a 2 or 3 BR unit.

I always bring a surge protector power strip with me. This allows me to plug in all of our electronic devices in one convenient place for charging.

We also have a flexible laundry basket that we bring. It serves double-duty in the car carrying our snacks for the road, and then keeps the room clean of dirty laundry being scattered everywhere.

Not sure if you have young kids, but I wanted to reiterate bringing pool toys, floaties, etc since the height requirement at both slides is 48". While there is a spray pad area for the little ones, they won't be able to use the slides.

Anyone know what size coffee filters the coffee makers use? I know it's the cone style but they come in several sizes.
