is there a packing list somewhere for Aulani? My 13 DD gets the pleasure of traveling with her aunt and grandmother over the Thanksgiving break (also DVC members). It's a little nerve racking packing for her for somewhere I've never been and won't be with her for the trip. Any advice?

I would think light clothing, with layers. I would bring some rain gear. Enjoy!!! It is an incredibly beautiful, welcoming resort.

If they aren't sightseeing around the island, but mainly staying at the resort, she will be wearing her swimsuit and coverup most of the day. At night it does get a little cool so bring a sweater or hoodie. Island wear when sightseeing, shorts and tees or camisole/tank tops. Flip Flops or slippers as they call them in Hawaii, are day and night wear, we usually take sandals. For the beech and swimming in the ocean recommend beach shoes because of sharp rocks or coral. They sell them cheap at the local Kapolei Target. Nice casual at night, sun dress, or a sleeveless dress or nice crop pants with pretty top. One pair of crops with a few tops would work for a weekend.

At a very, very fancy restaurant men might want to wear a sports jacket and women dress up a tiny bit. The only time you'll see full coat-and-tie is at a wedding or a high-powered business meeting. The rest of the time, just dress casually and don't wear rags to a nice supper. The weather will be pretty steady but can be windy when the trade winds get moving. If you pack layers in one or two unified color schemes, you can mix-and-match comfortably without bringing a lot of clothes changes.
