Hi everyone.
I am starting to pack, yes already!!!LOL We will be moving the week after we get back from our trip so it is easier for me to start all the packing at the same time.
Anyway, I am at a loss when it comes to packing for my son!! He will be 8mo for our trip. Since we are going in Nov. what should I pack? Clothes for warmer weather? How much stuff is too much? Should I bring the pack n play? What should I not leave without? I need help!
We will be driving down and bringing our own stroller.
So, how about if you have been in this position yourself you give your best advice, opinions and tips? Anything and everything about packing for an infant would be appreciated. Even just a "bump" to keep this on the first page to help other parents packing for an infant.
TIA!!!

I haven't been with an infant yet (Jan) but I have been with kids and have been in Oct twice, Nov twice and Dec 3 times. You do need to be prepared for both HOT HOT HOT weather and for cool nights. It should be easier for you since your driving. I have read good things about Disney's pack-n-plays so I don't plan on bringing mine on the plane but I probably would if I were driving.

There are a few products that may make things easier for you-disposable feeding bowls and spoons, disposable bibs and Palmolive makes dish clothes with soap so you don't need to bring a bottle of dish detergent. If you use powdered formula you may want to bring either a Britta filter or bottled water so your baby's formula doesn't taste funny to him.

Be sure to use the baby care centers-they are great!

Have a great trip!

As for the pack and play - I've never been told at Disney that they were "out" of cribs or pack and plays. However, since you are driving down I would guess you plan at least one overnight on the road. You may want to consider what your response will be if you get to your stop over and they tell you there are no cribs to be had. This happened to us last weekend in Houston, and we very nearly made a very late night run to Wal Mart to buy one. We are lucky that DD was old enough to share bed with her sister using some chairs as protection and lots of prayers. I've always been happy with the cribs or pack and plays on site, we are flying down next month and will not be bringing one from home.

As for clothes, I did best packing an assortment of mix and match onsies with a few pairs of shorts and a few pairs of pants, and one jacket. Last year it rained quite a bit, and DD was 8 months old at the time. I had much better luck leaving her stroller in the room and putting her in a Snugli and then I wore my rain jacket (I also had a poncho that I had significantly extended the neck opening on) and carried an umbrella. She stayed snug and dry and had a great time there. It was a little hard at Le Cellier when she was asleep, but otherwise perfect.

I also planned ahead to do laundry. I bought a small bottle of my All Free detergent that I use at home, and brought from home a few Bounce Free sheets so it was just like home, only better because I could run more than one load at a time. For the 4 of us I packed in 2 20" suitcases and one small duffle bag, and we were there for 9 days! I did laundry 3 times, but truly didn't mind at all, it was much easier than packing for that many days.
