I am so excited! We are taking our DD to WDW this November for the first time!!!!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: I am so afraid of leaving something so important, yet so overlooked at home. So I am wondering what was your forgotten item, or the items you brought down that you were happy you did. Especailly first aid items. Thanks in advance!!!

As I sit here thinking about what we brought that was special for a toddler, I can't think of anything! We definitely brought comfort items like blankies and some toys. I brought snacks that I knew our daughters loved. As far as first aid, I just brought some basics like a few bandaids and neosporin, but not more. There are CMs all over the parks that can help if you wind up with a serious need.

Have a wonderful trip!!

You'll have a blast, I'm so excited for you all, my baby packing tips are these:

If you are willing to make the fashion faux paux: load one diaper, package of wipes, and hand sanitizer in your fanny pack, then you can reload from diaper bag in stroller.

Pack a cheap plastic tablecloth with a flannel back and binder clips or clothes pins or hair clips. You can clip it over stroller for shade, to keep stuff dry in the unpredictiable fla rain, throw it on ground then put blanket down for baby to stretch a bit, throw it down for emergency diaper change. You can get them for less than 3 bucks at walmart, target, or kmart.

Cover baby with 60 spf sunblock before you ever leave hotel. Then use sunblock stick to dab on nose, cheeks, ears, back of neck throughout the day. Don't forget tops of feet.

Pack baby tylenol. will cost you a kidney in the parks.

Disposable plastic bibs are wonderful...you can find those at the dollar tree.

Have a blast!

Nasal bulb "Booger Sucker" and saline drops :) We had to have one delivered because DD got a cold. That hurt because we had 2 at home! d'oh.

Also-- shout wipes/tide pen... stain removers! If your DD is like my DD, she's messy. One meal and we're all covered in something.

We took our daughter when she was that age in June. We had a great time and so did she. They can go on so much. As far as packing- KISS .... Keep It Simple Sweetie.
Don't forget to just leave the parks when it gets to hot or crowded. Have a great time.:cutie:

My list always included...

-Diapers ( hey are expensive in the parks)
-Wipes
-clips for your stroller w/extra long blanket to cover (perfect for nap time and keeps your baby cool)
-Sun Block
-Chap Stick
-Little bags full of your kids favorite snacks
-Your kids cup
-Bottle water (to refill the cup)
-Toy
-Baby Tylenol
-Autograph Book w/pen (big enough for character's to grip)
-Camera (to capture all those memories) w/extra batteries or film
-Baby leash backpack harness thing(if your child is wanting to walk, it's better to be safe than sorry)

This is all I can think of that we bring when we go. Hope it helps!

Snacks that they enjoy from home, changing pad, hat, sunscreen and swim diapers, disposable bibs and table mats, sweater or sweatshirt for nighttime outings, sippy cups, antibacterial wipes for hands and face, and pack clothes for all occassions... Jeans and short sets. You will most likely need both:) we took DS and DD when they were just over one and had an awesome time. DS will be eighteen months on our next trip and we can't wait:) Have a great trip!

Clip on fan for stroller can be bought at onestepahead.com
Also mister fans (way cheaper at walmart vs. disney)

We went in June the last two years DD was 18 mos, then 30 mos and these kept her nice and cool.

We bought a wipe clean bib. We only needed one for the whole holiday as you just wiped it down with antibacterial wipes.

Snacks, sunblock stick, extra diapers and wipes in ziploc under stroller for grab and go, portable dvd player for sit down restaurants/airplane, ziploc bags, swim diapers, extra change of clothes under stroller, oh and take your own stroller for your first trip if this is your only kid, also drive to the parks if you're not on monorail resort but still staying in WDW...buses take forever!

My daughter was 16 months when we took her to Disney in 2007. It was a great age to take her!!!

Besides the ordinary clothes, shoes, diapers, etc. A few of our tips.

1. I packed outfits in the ziploc bag. On each bag, I wrote which shoes she was to wear with each outfit. That way, my husband could easily dress her if I was showering. (He isn't the best at picking out coordinating outfits!). It also saved a ton of room on packing.

2. I took enough diapers for only 24 hours and order a pack of diapers from gardengrocer.com. Less room in the suitcase and the price wasn't all that bad. I did the same with wipes!

3. I bought a cheap pack of baby washclothes at Walmart. I think they were like 8 for $1. I took a washcloth each day to the park. I would wet if and wipe DD's face and neck when she got too hot. She loved it.

4. I took a beach towel with us to drape over her stroller when she napped.

5. Each night, we packed the diaper so we didn't have to worry about it in the morning rush.

6. I bought a small travel size shampoo holder and filled it with dish soap so that I could wash out sippies each night. I think we packed 3 sippies for one week.

7. In my carry on backpack for the plane, I pack some small toys, crayons, window clings and other little odds and end toys.

8. All of DD"s clothes were packed in teh carry on suitcase should the airline lose luggage.

I just thought of something, if you bring your own stroller, bring it in the room at night to unload and reoad. You can save a ton of time that way, as well as get an opportunityto clean up that mess. If you rent a stroller, dedicate one bag as the stroller stock bag and load up at night.

This is really useful. We're are coming in July when our son will be 15 months - only problem is we are flying over from Scotland and haven't hired a car so are trying to decide whether to trail 2 weeks' worth of nappies (ok diapers, finding it so weird to call them that - lol) just to save a bit of cash but meaning that we are really cutting down on the clothes and stuff we can bring. That said that'll give us plenty room for the disney stuff I know I'll "need" to buy so we can get them home. Our luggage allowance is rubbish and because our son is booked on as an infant he isn't allowed any luggage at all. I am going to have to pack so little and that's something I'm not good at!!

I would also suggest a small blanket for the plane and for the cooler evenings in the stroller.

Not sure if anyone else suggested it, but we also bring disposable sippy cups.

Have a great time!

You can order nappies (diapers), wipes etc from gardengrocer.com. Thats what we did and it saved us heaps of space. You can also order all your toiletries as well. Thats what takes up heaps of room. Also only pack enough clothes for half your holiday, just wash them when you spend a morning at the pool. It works really well for us. There are 5 of us and we manage with 3 suitcases ( plus a holdall for extras on the way home)

Do you all find it worthwhile to order diapers/wipes from gardengrocer.com or is just easier to bring your own? I haven't ever used anything like that before.

I always try to remember to bring the thermometer, baby tylenol/advil. The moment I don't someone has a fever.

Don't forget a rain cover for your stroller, and make sure to take it into the park with you. We had one and left it in the car on the only day it rained!

Target has little first aid kits in their travel-size isle. they contain all kinds of things you might need in case someone falls and it comes in a plastic case so you can refill it when it runs out of things you need. They also have travel size clorox wipes for cleaning off high-chairs and tables and small bottles of hand sanitizer (for when you can't make it to the sink)

Good call with the mini first aid kits! I will def. pick one up! Thank you !!:goodvibes
