I have to pack for the next 3 months, and I have no idea what I need! I currently have 3 boxes of clothes packed, and 2 suitcases. I'm throwing all my makeup into a bag, because I'm not sure what I will need of that!

Also, hair products, same situation. Not to mention I have to pack things for my car!

The worst part is I'm living in my sisters apartment, and all her stuff will be there, so I hope i can enough space!

I know you didn't ask for advice, but please consider leaving some of that stuff at home. We stayed with my in-laws' this past summer, and I brought every article of clothing we had, and it was just way too much. Bring your favorite things and enough toiletries to get you through until you can go shopping for more. It's so much easier to buy the things you'll need when you get there than to schlep them all over and have to pack it all back up when you're done.

I totally agree with firecracker. I would bring maybe 2 weeks' worth of clothes. You'll obviously have access to whatever laundry your sister uses, so it's not like you have to pack enough clothes for the entire time.
Shoes wise, I'd bring 1 or 2 pairs of dressy shoes, a comfortable pair of sneakers, and (depending on where you're going) a pair of sandals.

As for toiletries, I agree that most of those can be purchased new when you get there.

As for makeup, I would probably create one good sized cosmetic bag of your "go to" makeup items (like for me is always powder, mascara, eyeshadow, eye liner, and lipstick). Leave the rest at home.

I think you could definitely streamline your packing and it'll work out just fine. Good luck! :thumbsup2

You have 3 boxes of clothes AND suitcases for 3 months? Why? You aren't going to wear the majority of that stuff. Pack your favorites and seperates you can switch around to make outfits and include shoes. Throw in your favorite accessories to make the outfits different. I'm sure you are going to pick up new things while you are away. There's no need to bring the whole closet with you. I'm not sure the deal with all the toiletries but I'm guessing they have stores where you are going.

I had to live out of a suitcase and a cosmetic bag for almost 60 days and that included moving from winter to the desert. I know it can be done. Pack smart and be realistic about what you will wear.

Thankfully, she is moving back home after 2 weeks.

I guess 3 boxes is too much? I wear a lot of clothes, and like to change things up. This is maybe a 1/4th of my clothes at the most.....

I'll go back through my beauty stuff and put back stuff I won't use daily. I know I will be wearing a lot of makeup this summer, as I'm doing a job similar to a promotions person, so I feel like I need it all!

I would keep it to a simple wardrobe that mixes and matches easily and take some accessories to have personality. Its better to be classic and awesome, then have to much to choose from and end up spending more time with your wardrobe then you need to.

I would take basic work attire in black, navy, and a nice brown shade. I would take some work slacks and a skirt or two. A few blouses to add some color and 2 or 3 pairs of shoes. Accessories as needed for your position.

Personal use items I would keep to minimal also, shorts or jeans that can go with many things and a few tops that you can jazz up with the work accessories.

Check out Pintrest or Polyvore to get idea of how you can get the max bang with your attire and minimal items to go with you.

I love me some makeup!!! But try taking multi use colors for your face and consider your climate. No one wants a full face of make up in a hot place where it can melt off! Take a few color collections in a mini size or just try to stick with neutrals for work and then use eye liners or lips to change the look for a more personalized look :)
