On one of our Disney trips our bags had been inspected and were a big old mess when we arrived at the resort. I was considering on using those mesh packing cubes. Does anyone have experience with these? Where is the cheapest place to purchase them? Online, a local store. Is there anything to beware of? I would like larger sized ones. Thanks in advance for everyone who comments. :)

I am not sure what packing cubes are, but......I always pack all of our stuff in ziploc bags. I squeeze them to make sure all of the air is out. I have had bags inspected several times, and everything is still in the bag. I started using the bags as a way to keep my kids organized with their apparel. They are getting too big for that, but it is still a great way to keep the bags neat.

I have the ebags packing cubes as well. You get a discount with your AAA membership. I really like them for more than just big packing purposes. I like to use the small one for my diaper bag to keep diapers and wipes organized. They have more than one purpose so I say get them!

I wanted to buy the packing cubes online, but I was afraid I wouldn't get them in time for my trip. After some research online :surfweb: , I found a store that I could buy them from. "The Container Store" :cool1:

I cannot post a link, so check out containerstore.com and see if one is in your area.

Hope that helps for anyone looking to buy/see them in person before buying them or for anyone that needs it last minute! :thumbsup2

DH and I used to do a lot of traveling to Europe and a few Asia trips before having our children. We traveled light with a carryon size bag. We used the "pack-it cubes" made by Eagle Creek. We'd put socks & underwear in one, toiletries in another. I always put leakable items in a Ziploc bag.

Their "pack it folder" systems are great for folded clothes like shirts and pants.

I've purchased them at the Container Store (pricey) and online. Occasionally you can find them at Sierratradingpost.com or Campmor.com on closeout.

packing cubes have saved me while traveling. They keep me soooo organized! Usually my suitcase explodes all over the hotel room, because I can't find something I need. But the cubes have stopped this from happening :)

The container store just had a huge sale with them in june/july.

The whole line from eagle creek for traveling is amazing! It's well worth the money. Make sure you check out the pouches that are waterproof. They are great for shampoo, toothpaste etc. So if anything explodes in your suitcase it wont get all over your clothes!
