Packing Cube Questions

I need to seriously get a life.
6:30 on a Holiday Monday morning and I am trying out different ways to fold a t-shirt.
So sad.......

That's hysterical, I was just upstairs folding my laundry "the chinese way" and the sad thing was I was in awe, how does it do that? :lmao:

What would you suggest for a family of four for a week away? How many and what sizes packing cubes? Kids are age 4 and 6.
TIA

Ok, I think this thread is a vortex; once you open it, you get sucked in!! :lmao:

I'm not even a "bag" person, but I LOVE the idea of these things!!! I'm on the ebags web site right now, and they're actually not very expensive, and I like that they come in different colors so that each member of the family can have their own color!

We'll be taking AmTrak from MA to NYC for our cruise next year, and I want to pack light. I think these are just the things to help accomplish that. I have used the Hefty bags in the past, but I like these even better.

Thanks Joanna for starting this thread, and thanks Anal Annie for your pictures!! :3dglasses

Oh you are welcome LOL

I ordered the ebags cubes last week after reading this thread. I love them!!

Just returned from the 11 night med (3wks ttl in Europe). Loved, loved, loved the cubes and pack it systems. It was our first time using them. Everyone had their own color. It was so easy for everyone to find everything. This was especially helpful when we arrived in BCN exhausted and needed jambes quickly!

Things stayed much more organized and for the first time the kids could find their own things. The pack it keep our ironed items looking great too.

I also bought a set after reading this thread. Yesterday I did did a pre-see-if-things-will-fit-pack (doesn't everyone do this:) ) and in the MEDIUM cube I got 2 pairs of pants (1 cargo and 1 jeans) 4 shirts and pajamas. Amazing..I can see I'll need more for DH.

20% off eBags packing cubes today. Guess it's time to order up some more so I have some now that my wife has stolen mine!

EDIT: Sale is until 7/11 and free shipping with $50 order

If you were thinking about ordering the ones from e-bay that were in the link posted earlier you'd better hurry up! I just ordered my 4 sets and there were only 5 black sets left. Also I ordered my bags from e-bags and they came in today (which is why I had to order 4 more sets from ebay) these things are amazing! I was able to pack 12 tshirts into a med. and 12 pants (jeans, dress slacks, capris, and one pair of shorts) into a lg. both of the cubes fit into a regular size carry on bag so I could go somewhere for a week and a half and not have to check any luggage! How cool is that!

Thanks for posting that. I somehow missed these bags and this is an incredible deal. I ordered 1 set from ebags, a folder and two sets of slims. With this set, I should be good to go as my girls clothes are still tiny. $13.99 for a set and free shipping is such a good deal. 4 sets left!

Hi everyone..
I, too, have the cubes in four colors for our family of 4 and will be using them for the first time for my Alaska Disney cruise this month.

My question is about cross-packing. What we usually do is cross-pack (or mix) everyone's clothing among our four suitcases. This way, if one suitcase is lost, we at least have some clothing in the other 3. One person won't totally lose all their clothing. So, I'll spread underwear in equal amounts between the 4 suitcases, socks, etc. This is a great idea, but how do I do this with packing cubes? I guess just mix clothing within the cubes.

Does anyone else do the cross-packing thing with cubes?

Thank you for that, I will tell my daughter, she wants to get a pack it flat toiletry kit. She liked it once she saw mine. :goodvibes

Alright, well tonight I filled my Pack it Flat Toiletry Kit, all I can say is I LOVE IT!!!!

I went from a Carry On that I always checked filled with toiletries to the Pack it Flat Toiletry Kit. The only think I don't have in it is my make-up and brushes...The make up may fit in there, I'm not sure though, but I can always throw the makeup in a baggie. My brushes won't fit in, but I'll just put them in the suitcases.

bump? anyone? thanks!

I have a three piece set for each of us plus I bought a set of mediums and I may get a large set, just to have it and feed my addiction. But I want you to know, I have never traveled with them yet, BUT I think somewhere in this thread people who have traveled with them tell how many of each they have and you can just times it by 4.
