I decided earlier this week that we are moving to a different apartment. It's still in the same town, but is in a much better location (next to the Rec Center that I use to be the director of).
The apartment is smaller in the number of rooms, but larger square footage- if that makes sense. Basically, it's 3 bedroom, living room and kitchen, where this is 4 bedroom, living, dinning, and kitchen. However the smallest bedroom is 20x25. Here, the bedrooms are all 10x10 ish...
The girls are excited, and decided they want to share a room, not too sure how well that will go....but we will see.
Another huge bonus- is the amount of closets- here in this apartment only 1 bedroom has a closet, the others have closets but are not deep enough to hang a coat hanger- the girls new room as 3 walk in closets that go the length of the walls they are on. It's a huge old victorian house with all original wood work etc. The girls room actually has a 15 foot circle room off the end of it...thats all windows- its' pretty cool.
So My first day at the new apartment is Dec 1st, and my last day here is Dec 13th. My lease requires notice of a full rental period- and since my rent runs 13-13, I have to pay for 13 days I wont be here. But that gives me 13 days to make sure that everything is in the same condition it was in, other than normal wear and tear for refunding of my security deposit.
Oh the best part rent is $50 more a month, but it includes electricity and heat, along with plowing, and trash...where here, it only includes trash and plowing! BONUS!
I've got 20 boxes packed, and thankfully can move them in at any time, as my best friend is the one moving from my new apartment to another in the same house...
DBF wants to call a moving company and have them come pack and move, since we're moving from third floor to another third floor LOL
