Help me with my packing checklist...Besides clothing, food, diapers, forumla, bottles and the usual baby/toddler stuff what am I missing?

6 month old
-swim diapers
-stroller fan
-stroller toys for Evan(don't need to buy just need to pack)
-stroller rain cover
-bug repellant

2.5 year old
-Swim diapers
-sand toys
-potty chair-We have a portable one.
-pack trains-His favorite toys!
-Some kind of new toy for him to play in the plane.

Medicine-Recommended by their Dr.
-tylenol
-bendryl
-advil
-milk of magnesia
-robitussin

Sunscreen and rain ponchos. Even though you will have a stroller rain cover you might want to get a rain poncho for the 6 month old or something to cover him up with if it rains b/c he might not be in the stroller at the time during a rain shower and I would definitely get a rain poncho for the 2 year old. Hope you have lots of fun!!! :Pinkbounc

Table toppers. (I got mine from the right start) These are presterlized matts that stick to tables. So your kids can eat funger foods anywhere.

stroller and all the gear for the toddler.

baby carrier for all the places you cant take the stroller, like lines and shows.

faa approved carseats and car seat duffle bags for the kids on the airplane. spend whatever you have to on these.

We had a hard time washing the bottles on our last trip because we didn't have our bottle washing brush/sponge. We did the best to get in there with a wash cloth, but we weren't able to get them as clean as we would have liked and ended up buying a bottle washer brush while we were down there.
Have fun!

Luv2Trav-
I hear ya about the trains, not to get off subject, but I laugh at the thought of a seperate suitcase, just to pack the trains-tracks,cabooses,...

I'll 2nd the table toppers-they also have them at BabiesRUs.

Disposable bibs and baby feeding spoons.

Ziplock bags.

Disposable camera for pool.

I took the Palmolive Dish Wipes with me and they worked great. They are loaded with dish soap.

I also bring a few sport caps for water for my kids. I honestly can't remember if they have them on the water at Disney but I brought them the small kids bottles and they don't have sport caps.

I couldn't believe how much my DS(turned 3 on trip) LOVED the stickers on the plane. I had both just sheets which he put on paper and coloring books with stickers.

We use playtex disposable liner bottles....

Are you going to have a stroller for your 2.5 yr old? I know that my DD gets tired after a while and would definitely be too heavy to carry all over MK.

Pacifiers if your little one uses one and a pacifier clip/holder.

I always throw a few bandaids and bactine individually wrapped wipes to clean up skinned knees.

Sippy cups if your kids use them.

You didn't mention a stroller cover for your 2 year old, but you will probably need one.

Sunscreen and hats!! I also bring a sunscreen stick to use on my kids faces since it isn't as runny which avoids getting it in their eyes.

Have a great trip!

Thermometer

Ever look at your dh and say, "Doesn't the baby look flushed?" and not have a way to check for a fever?

Plastic bags for dirty clothes at parks. Someone always spills.

We just got back with DS 2 1/2....

SUNSCREEN

Thermometor GREAT idea!! We had to take DS to ER down there (104 fever  ) Make sure you have all your insurance papers ready.

DS loved stickers.

I love my baby harness for DS. Don't know how you feel about these but WAY worth the money. My DS doesn't like to ride in the stroller all day. It was wonderful for the waits in lines.

This is not really a packing thing but our best tip from here was to freeze the capri sun drinks in the freezer....then midday when he is really hot.....he had a cold drink. He is picky hard to get him to drink things.

Oh yeah I lost a shoe....maybe extra shoes :p Good thing I had extra sandles for him. Luckily we lost it the very last day.

Hope you have a great trip.

Another thought:

Have you tried the new disposable changing pads made by Huggies? They are especially nice for say the airport bathrooms or even the hotel bed-they are much bigger than a changing pad from a diaper bag.

Instead of having DS (then 2 yo) wear an ID tag we used a masking tape & put it on the back of his shirt (where he could not see it) and with a Sharpie we put or cell phone number

Someone here once had the excellent suggestion of small baggies filled with: plastic fork, spoon, disposable bib, individually wrapped wet one, table topper, etc. When we went out to eat we'd grab a "dinner" baggie. When done, everything is garbage. I used this idea on our last vacation and boy it worked out great!!

Also on my kid's packing list & not sure if posted yet (I did not read through all the responses):
Band-Aids
Anti-Itch creme
Sunglasses w/Strap
Vasaline
Chapstick
Mister Fan
Detergent tablets (if you plan on doing laundry there)
Cling free sheets (same reason as above)
Swim diapers
Safety Pins
Scissors
Sewing Kit
Batteries
Bed Toys/Animals/Teddy
Kids Shampoo
Insect Repellant

I have my whole list, in a check list format, on excel. Email me at cinjam@optonline.net, if you like a copy.

Great suggestions!! keep them coming....

What is so ironic is that I think I am going to have to pack more for my 2.5 year old than my 6 month old!
