I know how they handle luggage. If it even remotely fragile - carry.
DCL regs say liquid is to be carried on, not checked.
And broken bottles leak liquid - onto your stuff [oh well] and onto unfortunates whose luggage just happens to be next to yours.
Just remember when boarding you have to have it in your carry on..........no liquids in checked luggage going on the vessel.

Actually if they can see your broken bottle wet someones else s clothes, etc...........DCL will require you to pay dry cleaning and/or replacement of the other peoples wet items.

We used a wheeled bag to carry on. Thought about checking but not worth the trouble.
The OP stated in the first post that they are checking in through on the plane and will be taking it out to carry on the ship.
and the extension to that is to be sure they and anyone reading who may not know.....is aware they cannot check it on DCL and must carry it on.
What is your point?

Clearly not understanding what the OP is doing at all. You cant bring liquids on a plane, hence putting it in the checked bag.We used a wheeled bag to carry on. Thought about checking but not worth the trouble.
My point is they know. They said they were going to transfer it to their carry on at the airport. No need to point out rules they had every intention of following.
Plus someone said Clearly not understanding what the OP is doing at all. You cant bring liquids on a plane, hence putting it in the checked bag.
and my point was there maybe OTHERS who did not know, the whole point of the Dis is to give out information and related information.

Dude, I'm not arguing with you at all. Just clarifying before it turns in to a debate on whither or not it is ok to check a bag with liquids on to the ship, which NO ONE was planning on doing.
