Packets - How Long?

I was PIF one day after booking my September trip & I have received several letters from Disney, but no packet yet.

You get this really cool clear vinyl envelope with Mickey imprints on the flap that says Walt Disney World, and inside it, you get a printout of your reservation confirmation, your vouchers for anything included in your package, i.e., Planet Hollywood voucher, SeaRaycers voucher, etc., and your luggage tags. To some people, it probably isn't anything really "woo-hoo spectacular", but some of us are a bit more OCD (me) and love to have our hands on the "real stuff".

I totally agree with you! I want to have the real stuff in my hands before it is official. I am waiting for my documents, it is 37 days until we leave.

Glad everyone is getting there info finally. The general rule of thumb is 10 days prior to your trip no matter if you book directly with Disney travel or any other TA for example AAA. But that is just a rule of thumb...you may have a lead way of as much as 10 days either direction depending on mail and other things. If you don't have your packet within 48 of heading out I would call them with your confirmation letter to make sure that they will have the additional vouchers at the resort waiting on me when I check in. If they matter to you...
I always like seeing what the new luggage tags are going to look like!

We were at the 14 day mark and I was starting to panic Friday when I went to the post office there were our documents!! Phew.....what a relief

I paid off the trip back in April, we are now 38 days out still no packet. I have called and they said it is sent at 45 days. should I be worried?

If you got the free dining added on your trip package, will it say that on the confirmation sheets? Anyone know from last year? I think I will have a heart attack if mine doesn't say that we got the dining, since I called and had it added (the day it came out this year) for our trip in September.

Went back in my diary and found that we got our ME packet on the 13th of July for trip on August 21. The Packet came in the 21st of July! Hope this helps!

39 days till our trip went to the mailbox today and got my ME packet. Came in Disney type envelope and just had the ME luggage tags and The ME booklet no coupons and such. Im so excited I have them its proof my trips coming up

41 days out I got the ME tags. 39 days out I got the rest of my documents. All from AAA. My agent was surprised that i got them already (I don't go till July 12th) but I'm happy.

FINALLY!!! I received my packet on the 30th day before our trip! Now, I have my packet, I need to start packing!!!

My brains melting from all my planning what is all this about a packet? do we get something else besides the ME packet? If so you just made my day something else to look foward too LOL
