Had to come and celebrate! I just sold my first customs. :cheer2: :yay: :jumping1: :jumping3: :bounce: :ccat: :donald: :stitch: :simba: :maleficen :dumbo: :sulley: :tigger: :figment: :goofy: :mickeyjum :dogdance: I guess that is enough excitement. I really want this to work. I see some of you are in the fairy godmothers group, I wanted to wish you all luck! That is a cute idea. I would love to become a member of a group like thta but I guess I need to sell more before I can try to get into one. As for now, I am just happy that this is taking off!
I'm very happy for you!!! I also just sold a custom. I sold a custom of Jenna's Pink Cinderella dress. I am so happy. And I sold two outfits that were premade to someone from this board. Thanks again!!!

So I have not been sharing much lately. so I thought I would jump right in here. I have been making some jean outfits for our trip in october, but Most are saying it will still be warm in the day. so I made a little minnie skirt outfit. I love how this turned out...

There initials to search for is TFG , I believe they are starting July 15th.
Lori

Right you are Lori ;) You could narrow it down by adding "boutique" to the search, but that's just a guess ;)

BTW I love the new Mickey set, very colorful!

Oh My I got far behind! Hopefully after next week I will have a bit more time again. Our little new one is such a sweetie but he is still a newborn lol.

I wish you guys were going in DEC! We are going the second week of Dec and DH will never be ok with me turning around and coming back in Feb. Espeically with the fact that some friends of ours are getting married in the spring there and I am trying to talk him into going lol.

James came home early today from work and I got a shirt done for a little girl that I drew her name for a Christmas in July thing we are doing on another board. It is one of the things I am sending to her because she likes Tink. My only thing is I just realized that I did not add eyebrows or eyelashes (what lack of sleep will do to you lol). Do you think I need to go back and do so? I HAVE to get it in the mail tomorrow. I completely forgot about needing to do something for her because of Little D coming. :(

Davis008.jpg

She really does have a nose too I just did it in pink lol.

Davis011.jpg

Far from perfect but honestly I think it could have been a lot worse lol.

I think it's awesome and I wouldn't have even noticed the lack of brows or lashes. It's really cute.

I bought this blouse for myself a few weeks ago, and I need to alter it. I love that it's flowy and breezy, but I'm busty (you do not want to know the size of my nursing bras when DD was a baby!!) so this makes me look pregnant! It's a peasant top, and there is shirring at the neck, so I thought if I shirred the bottom into a waist-band it would still look breezy, but not maternity! What to you think??

DSC_0028.jpg

What if you run three lines of shirring just below the bustline?

WooHoo! I finally finished my scrapbook from our trip. I am not happy with all of the pages, but now I can finally get back to sewing!! Or at least until I need to start working on the 2008 in review books I need to finish for Christmas- still have plenty of time, right?

Great pages.

Thanks about the set...
and yes tfg boutique will probably narrow it down

The*Fairy*Godmothers

You can search for their me page by those terms. There are some great designers in the group and they debut Tuesday on Ebay for their first launch. It should be a fun launch!!!!:thumbsup2 You can also sign up for their mailing list. They are running a contest.

We have all been very excited about it. No, I'm not in the group just cheering on my friends.

Sounds fun, good luck to everyone in the group and I wish you all wonderful BIDS!!!

Thought I would post this. It made me smile and I haven't done that in awhile.
Girlie Wisdom!

Women over 50 don't have babies because they would put them down and forget where they left them.

A friend of mine confused her Valium with her birth control pills... she has 14 kids but doesn't really care.

One of life's mysteries is how a 2-pound box of chocolates can make a woman gain 5 lbs.

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

The best way to forget your troubles is to wear tight shoes.

The nice part about living in a small town is that when you don't know what you are doing, someone else does.

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight because by then, your body and your fat are really good friends.

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

Sometimes I think I understand everything, and then I regain consciousness.

I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knicker's.

Amazing! You hang something in your closet for a while and it shrinks 2 sizes!

Skinny people irritate me! Especially when they say things like...'You know sometimes I forget to eat!' .....Now I've forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name and my keys, but I have never forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat!

The trouble with some women is that they get all excited about nothing and then they marry him.

I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That's my idea of a perfect day!

Teresa/Heather Hope your grandma is OK (prayers said)

Linnette
Thanks Linnette! She is doing better now.

and, I think I lost the quote, so thanks for the pictures of the inside of the tops!

Has anyone noticed the conspicuous absence of Teresa and Heather lately??? Where the heck are those girls?? There's only one reason that could excuse their absence and that's if they are working on their trip reports. W

Well............ I guess if they were out making me a custom for my trip in September then that could be excusable as well!
 I'm here, just lagging behind!

I imagine they could also be preparing yet ANOTHER thread....we are nearing that magic number again.
We'll have to keep a vigilant watch for them. If they're not back soon, we'll send a search party:3dglasses

...t.
It IS almost that time, isn't it!

Here is the shirt for Clay. I skipped the sponge like circles on him because I really like the way it looks now. Do you guys think that is okay? I was just going to do circles outlined in the gold but afraid it will take away from sponge himself (and that they won't be too circle-y when I am done).

It is raining out right now so no modeled pictures!
Jessica this is great!!! You do fantastic work!!!

Do you think it would ever be rude to offer a Mom a "used" custom? I have a couple of outfits I made Kirsta and she only wore them the once in WDW. I'd love to see someone else get some use of it. What do you think? Would it be okay to pm and ask a Mother if she'd mind? Or just save them for my itty bitty neice? :
I would be thrilled if it was me! I don't think that is rude at all.

:snooty:

Heather- do you think he'd be entertained on a WISHES cruise with the pirates and Peter Pan??
The boy needs his sleep, trust me on that! :rotfl:
That is fantastic...what is this fairygodmothers group you speak of?? I am so happy for you! Congratulations.
They are members of "another" board that started an Ebay selling group. Some of them post here occasionally.

Tiffani, I am so sorry to hear about your father. That has got to be so hard for you all. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Tom-I hope your Mother starts doing better soon. You are a good son.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Too funny - I had to send this to my mum and sisters as soo many of these are true!!!!

I think it looks perfect! I never would have thought anything of her not having eyelashes or eyebrows. She's going to love it!

I would love to meet y'all in Feb. The only bad dates for me are the13th-17th.
Where is everyone staying?
I'm probably staying at Pop, but haven't made reservations yet. It looks like the only days we could all meet so far are the 8th or the 9th. I'm leaving fairly early on the 10th.

Had to come and celebrate! I just sold my first customs I guess that is enough excitement. I really want this to work. Wow! Congratulations!! I've never tried to sell anything. I think the stress of it would ruin sewing for me! :rotfl2:

Heather- do you think he'd be entertained on a WISHES cruise with the pirates and Peter Pan??
If I want to have the opportunity to have any fun at all, we'll have to do something earlier in the day, if we're bringing the kids. My kids go to bed at 8:00 and it's not pretty if they don't! But, I'd be up to doing something earlier in the day with the kids and then doing one of these cruises later. My mom would stay with the kids for me, I'm sure. That would be great anyway because I want to talk to you all instead of chasing a 2 year old!

OK ladies, I did the first run through with DH. He didnt exactly say "no" but he wasn't happy. We left it at... not deciding yet....so when do we need to say definately yes or no? :confused3 I was thinking by the end of Aug or mid-Sept??? Perhaps I could win the lottery by then and pay for everyone to go!
I'm not sure when we'll need to make reservations for one of the cruises, if we do that.

I bought this blouse for myself a few weeks ago, and I need to alter it. I love that it's flowy and breezy, but I'm busty (you do not want to know the size of my nursing bras when DD was a baby!!) so this makes me look pregnant! th_DSC_0028.jpg
I SO understand what you're saying. I never found a nursing bra that fit me. I also look pregant in flowy shirts (and in snug shirts, and in looser shirts, but that's beside the point). After I saw a picture of me in the shirt I was wearing the day I met Steph, I was mortified! I'm sure she thought I was pregnant!

Anyway, I think the idea of putting a couple lines of shirring under the bustline is a great one!

Wow! Those are wonderful pages!!! I'm going to go on over and read your trip report.

Those are sooooo good. What site do you use? I haven't made a jump to Digital Scrapbooking yet...I'm a little afraid.
