Is it ok to bring a packed lunch in my backpack? Just a sandwich, juice, and snacks. I know years ago in California you were not allowed.

So if I pack a sandwich in a small personal lunch bag are they gonna make me throw it out??

When we went in March, the only bag check was at the parking garage before City Walk. We had no issue with small snacks/water but it all depends on the bag checker. You might get the one person who follows the rules. Worst case scenario you are going right back to your car with it.

I don't think they would make you throw it out but they also don't people bringing in enough food to feed an army either. They are trying to make money on food outlets in the parks.

Just use your head and common sense when bringing outside things into a theme park. If you think it's too much then it probably is.

I think that "picnic lunch" has a meaning far beyond a sandwich and water. We've never been turned away. And it's not something I even worry about. We carry the igloo MaxCold backpack with our cold waters and clif bars and it's fine. Of course we also do eat in the parks. We have our favorites.

Security is on the way from garage to citywalk before the main people mover walkway, as well as on the walking paths from the resorts just before you enter citywalk.
