What size box is acceptable to send over? I heard shoe box size but was wondering if there was a size a bit bigger that would be okay. Thanks!

I just shipped out 2 - Size 7 Priority Mail Boxes I got from the Post Office today today.

I've routinely used the larger Priority Mail box at the post office. I've also used the flat Priority box and you can actually get quite a lot in that box!!

You just have to remember that the box you send has to be able to fit into a mail bag.

Patty,

One of the packages was for Bobby. It weighted 5 pounds and it was all snacks!!! The Post Office employee told me that there was a Boy Scout troop in just before I got there that mailed out 9 Care Packages!! I told him what I was doing with my Brownie Troop and that I can't wait to see what they donate!!

My sister went out and bought one of those clear Rubbermaid shoebox-sized containers to mail her goodies in. She thought her soldier might be able to store some of his stuff in it. I hope that was OK. She was able to fit a lot of stuff in it. It weighed about 5 lbs when full and cost her around $10 to mail.

The plastic container was a great idea! I sent some small plastic containers with snap on lids to hold things like razors and photographs - anything to keep sand out!
