Are you able to ship a package(box) to your resort prior to you arriving with staples in it like crackers, water things that won's spoil? How do you label it and how much in advance can you send. Sorry, first time and I am clueless if I want to do that or utilize my grocery run. Figured store run would be very expensive and could also save time not doing it!:sunny:

We usually pack some snacks like peanutbutter crackers, etc. I can buy them cheaper at home, and once we take them out of our luggage, there is room to pack the new Disney stuff!!!!

We don't bring drinks because we buy the resort mugs (around ten or eleven dollars) that are refillable at your resort for the whole trip. That is actually a good deal!

Don't know if your flying - but with the new luggage weight restrictions, you probably shouldn't drag along a bunch of drinks!

Yes we are flying(first time on plane also) and that is why I am thinking to send a package ahead of time. I was given the site netgrocer off the disneydollarless list and am looking at them. I just thought this would all 'x' out the time it would take once the towncar picked us up. I just don't know how early to ship or how you lable box etc.

we shipped ahead some toiletries to the ASMO last Sept (Fedex, 2nd Day) - box was waiting for us at luggage pick-up when we arrived (with no storage charges)

doing the same next month when we stay at the CR

on the outside of the box, put (in addition to your name & address):

Attention: Guest (your name)

(Arrival date)

Reservation #XXXXXXXXXXX

be sure to get the correct address for the resort you are staying at!

we do this to save room in our luggage for souvenirs - when we're done with the toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, etc) we'll just throw them away there!

one more thing - don't ship your box too far ahead to the resort - one or two days ahead of your arrival is fine - the resorts don't like having boxes shipped a week (or more!) ahead - there just isn't enough room to store them!

Sorry quilt4luv :) - I thought you were planning on taking those things with you - rather than shipping! Please disregard my previous post!

Have a great trip!

no problem, sometimes I don't state exactly what i mean and then to ramble. LOL! I guess I am so excited about this first trip coming in 19 days.....really into counting now and don't know what I will do when down to 10!!!
BTW have a ? somewhat off topic of Disney, but how does everyone get the cute little things at the bottom of their emails, like countdowns and a few even have disboard awards for weight loss. Just curious.

to add a countdown to the bottom, go to technical support (under private forums) - there you will find all the info you will need! (begin by looking under "FAQ")
