Packages Sent To Room

So let me get this straight??
If I buy stuff in the shops at Disney, I can have it sent back to my room if we are staying on-site? Is this a free service? Reliable?

They will send it the gift shop of your resort. It usually takes one full day for it to get there. They did a great job on ours last year, we purchased things all week and had EVERYTHING sent back to the room. The did, however, break one of my picture frames. But, they were really quick to get me another one. They actually send someone over to AK to get it as we were leaving early the next morning.

We use it every time we go and never have had any problems. The packages are always delivered the next day.

Just one note. You cannot use this free service the day before you check out. They won't be able to guarantee delivery since they want 24 hours. So plan your purchases accordingly. Also, make sure you have your green receipt and a driver's license with you when you go to the gift shop to pick up your packages. It's very hassle free.

Here's a little info on Package Delivery to Disney Resorts:

Items purchased by 7pm (in the parks) will be delivered the next day after 1pm to your resort gift shop

Items purchased after 7pm (in the parks) will be delivered in 2 days (after 1pm) to your resort gift shop

I believe that items bought at DTD, regardless of time, are delivered the next day after 1pm.
